Multi Fault dash indications
Skodanocty replied to David Heavey's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Started a thread with the exact same issue 2 days ago. Found similar posts but no one uploaded how they actually fixed it. My fuses were good. I replaced the original battery but that didn't fix it (oh well) checked grounds and it was all good. I ended up pulling the plastic side panel off on the side of the dash usually blocked by the closed drivers door. It was slightly damp in there due to a damaged seal somewhere along the line. Took it for a run on the motorway with parts of the dash removed and bingo, fixed. It's only been a day sorfar but the issue hasn't come back. -
MkII 1.9TDI BXE - Multiple Electrical Fault
Skodanocty replied to gavindjharper's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I ended up replacing the battery after as it was the original. All measures came back stating it's health was good but as I was doing car work I thought now was a good time. Thanks for your help. If it comes back up I'll re light my thread just to update people that it was a temp fix. Find these threads annoying that no one states the fix. Could be a loose connection too because I did unplug and wiggle test but because there was some damp there I attributed the issue to that. -
MkII 1.9TDI BXE - Multiple Electrical Fault
Skodanocty replied to gavindjharper's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
This happened to me. I removed the dash and drove with the heater on full but the vents closed to hear the inner dash. Worked. -
Thankyou so much. I had suspected this but just started to dig more and began to get more and more worried. Wasn't sure if my thread would be seen Found this: And no one seemed to update with a fix. I'll hot swap a battery tomorrow and let you know how it goes. Regardless, it should be OK to drive in this condition shouldn't it? Thanks again

https://youtu.be/eKfe2paW8BI Noticed it the other day flickering on and off but now it won't go away. When I turn my lights on the check engine oil light pulses with the left indicator. The oil level is perfect and has not changed, I've recently changed the oil and there is no metal in there. No loss of mpg/pull/power and no white smoke or weird noises. Car has been utterly faultless up to this point but my luck has struck. I have 700miles of driving to do this month and I'm worried. Any ideas?
