  1. LOL and of course when you use the heating in the seats, that in turn feels like you've wet yourself!
  2. How noticeable is the ventilation on the L&K vented leather seats; would you usually hear some sort of whirring fan or feel the seat get noticeably colder? I don’t notice either on my new (to me) Superb and I’m wondering if the ventilation is working or not.
  3. I've just replaced my Volvo V70 with a Mk2 Superb Estate. The V70 had vertical nets that separated the rear load space from the cabin. Their utility is that when you load the rear space up for a big family holiday and pack the car higher than the rear valance, the nets stop anything from flying forwar (and becoming a potential missile) in the event of a crash or emergency stop. In the Volvo they replaced the sliding parcel shelf so you could only use one or the other, which was never a problem. Can you get these for the Superb Estate? I've had one after market parts dealer say they don't exist and that the next best thing would be a dog guard, which seems a little excessive.
  4. Currently sat on my drive and I am very happy. It is quite a different car to the V70! I feel a stiring in my petrol driven heart that hasn't happened since I crashed my mini cooper way back in 2002!
  5. Yes I'd noticed that the engine was producing less output than the one in the equivalent Passat. I figured that was becuase the Superb was more about refined cruising than sporty pretensions and suited the car's character better. But the dealer suggested it was more likely to be internal brand identity/politics; it wouldn't look so good if the larger, nicer Skoda also had as much power as the more expensive VW. It doesn't bother me though; it just means that the engine is even less stressed and therefor less likely to go wrong.
  6. OK so this is now bought subject to it being seen in person!
  7. Ah I see what mean. I know that as a 'Q Car' but it's the same thing.
  8. I'm reluctant to say! I'm reluctant to say as I know these are exceptionally rare, but it might be somewhere around the midlands. BTW what do you mean by a 'sleeper estate'?
  9. I'm about to change my car (big Volvo with a big petrol engine) and am really taken by a 2014 3.6L V6 Superb Estate I've found (the Laurent & Klement spec). It's a huge amount of car for the money the dealer is asking but obvioulsy it would be ruinously expensive to run if I did more than my anticipated 10k miles a year. I've not driven it yet as it's over 100 miles from me so before I committ to driving up there, what should I know about buying and owning this car? I would intend to own it for five years.
