  1. Quite easy to do. Slide a thin blade under the fuse box cover to lever it off. Kit off ebay comes with piggyback fuse, voltage converter, and cable. Pull out fuse 6, replace with piggyback connector, and insert old fuse into it. Connect earth wire to one of the bolts holding the fusebox in. Tuck voltage converter in fuse box. Hard part is threading cable out of fusebox, then gently push up under trim. Replace fusebox cover. They do say check the piggyback fuse is in correct way round by not inserting old fuse and checking rear wiper doesnt work with ignition off.
  2. Having had a headlight washer lift tube blow off over winter, I finally got round to replacing it. Passenger side is easy to take off with the bonnet up, just a bit of twisting and tab pushing to unclip and pull out. New part number 5L0.955.965C replaces the part 965B. Just over £30 from the main dealer. These are shorter and thinner than the pre-facelift model. The only difference I see is the C part has a redesigned bit where the jet nozzles clip into the main tube. New part on left, you can see the white circlip which is the only difference I can see externally
  3. The Yeti sold about 60,000 a year in europe, and the Octavia about 200,000. The Qashqai sold around 200,000, the Juke about 100.000 The Yeti was always doomed once VAG decided on a new platform.
  4. They are flexible. The only times where they get short of collection dates is around new reg weeks.
  5. Some lease companies will give up to a 50% discount if you hand a lease in up to a few months early. Ask them for a final quote based on the date you want to hand back as it's pretty common. You can do it online at www.vwfinance.co.uk if you have a lease paid through VWFS
  6. http://www.titancovers.co.uk/skoda-yeti-2009-onwards-front-seat-covers/?utm_medium=googleshopping&utm_source=bc&gclid=CjwKCAiA7JfSBRBrEiwA1DWSGxzslT3RyCGtoLQvAWXxsXwjmvo8Naqh-8Yshf1mpbaUbfGJnZt6PBoCSDIQAvD_BwE I got these, £45 a pair, but need waterproof as I'm out all hours with horses so get muddy. They are pretty thick but comfortable, and wipe down easy. For the rears I got a dog hammock style sheets...one for rear seats and one for boot https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Boot-Liner-Mat-Rear-Seat-floor-Cover-Protector-Water-resistant-Dog-cat-Pet/391041895192?epid=1877958311&hash=item5b0be9cb18:g:IfUAAOSwX9FZJrGW
  7. Using full strength screenwash, though i suppose it could have frozen due to windchill being at the front. Usual form over function when spray nozzles on the bumper would work rather than a complicated popout unit. Never even noticed them until the cover went missing, then saw the innards had gone too.
  8. Does the washer pump have a tendency to blow off the popout part of the headlight washer, or is it more likely some toerag has ripped it off to get the cover plate?
  9. but but but but...for that price you could get a brand new Duster rather than used...and have a fiver change... 'old out yur annndddd.....
  10. Leasing ridiculously cheap for a PCH 1.0 TSI SE Technology 5dr..cheaper than the Yeti was £214.72 Per Month, INC VAT Rental Profile 1+23 Annual Mileage 8k Miles p/a Initial Rental £214.72 Additional Fees None
  11. If you did VT to end the contract, they cant put anything negative on your file as it's your right to finish the contract this way. They may not like it, but you would have settled the finance in a valid manner.
  12. You could take the Qashqai for a motorway run once a week just to let it regenerate the dpf, that buys you some time. You say you still owe money on HP. You could look at Voluntary Termination once you've paid half the total amount payable. This isn't a scam way out, but written into HP and PCP agreements...check your documents and with the lender. http://www.thecarexpert.co.uk/car-finance-voluntary-termination-pcp-hp/
  13. If you get a full size spare, does your boot have the spare wheel well or just the foam can type?
  14. I can see the point of a remap to improve fuel economy or change the torque characteristics. Each to their own. As an aside, i remember one model of car that owners complained of having a flat spot. Several got theirs remapped to take out the flat spot. Turned out the flat spot was engineered in as it was the speed/gear/revs that the exhaust noise test was measured at on official tests, and cutting the power on the mapping at that point massively reduced the noise figure. Might have been Audi R8
  15. Moon White for me, not washed for a couple of months and it doesnt look too grubby. At a long stop I do put it in to neutral with handbrake on rather than sit blinding the person behind me.
