Can somebody confirm the size of fuse required? Ie mini/micro etc? Seems to be a large selection of fuse taps available on amazon! Cheers.

Sounds like you have a fault then as the workaround works 100% of the time for me. The reason son they fail to level is the power drain of the engine cranking... pressing the ignition without the break means the engine won’t start.

Thanks Peter - I hadnt taken this in to consideration... I guess the best solution is to use a cigarette lighter socket and use a USB converter which must have the necessary electronics inside?

I was wondering if anyone had used one of these piggyback fuse holders to create another USB socket? I need this for power only but to be live with ignition. I have seen a number of posts regarding dashcam installs but I am looking for a USB socket. Basically, it is to plug in a wifi dongle which has a USB port and I dont want it draining the battery whilst the car is not in use. Hoping someone can help Cheers!

As LegFitter said earlier, a straight forward work around can be used which while not ideal on a brand new car, it does get around the issue... I plan on persevering with my local dealer but I am used to using the workaround now.

Have you got any details of the update they applied Bridge? I’m gonna speak to my dealer again but want to know it will get fixed and not a waste of time...

I got a software update on the xenons too but it hasn’t fixed it for me...

No luck I’m afraid - still same issue although haven’t got back to dealer yet... I want them to have a guaranteed solution before booking it in and wasting any more time! I’m like you and just using the workaround for now...

Was there ever an update on this? I notice when playing songs via Spotify over bluetooth that sometimes I get the correct album art but not always... sometimes its a bluetooth icon or a random music genre image.

Does anyone know if a usb hub will work to allow connection to apple CarPlay and power a secondary device?? I am wanting to use a WiFi dongle but because the 12v supplies are permanent live, I want to use usb to power it... Cheers

Hasn’t worked for me... had the issue again this morning :( So today the dealer has detected a fault which needs “coding” but they have system issues and so have booked it in for a full day next week... hoping this resolves it for good!!

I think the main issue is the engine preheating due to the cold weather... On a warmer day, the engine starts more quickly and usually before the headlights do their leveling dance... Last night, when I pressed the ignition without the break pedal, they level correctly and then I started the engine - this seems to be a workaround (when I remember) I am not even sure if its worth the time of taking it to the dealers on Friday now as it seems to be an issue on a larger scale. Maybe a letter to Skoda UK?

Thanks Bridge - what is the best workaround for the issue you have found? I haven’t tested yet but was thinking ignition without break pedal to level lights and then start engine? Hope it doesn’t take more than one visit to the dealers to sort :-/ I will mention this software update to them!

Well I have only had the car since 1/11 so hard to say - I thought it was snow on the headlights when it first happened but it seems to happen regardless... I guess I will see what the dealer says on Friday!! Thanks for your response

Good morning - Has anyone else had issues with the Xenons on the Superb? In particular I am talking about self levelling... When I start my Sportline, the engine preheats and the Xenons do there start up jig but then the engine cranks and disturbs the jig and they stay pointing at the ground... I have it booked in at the dealer on Friday but I fear they wont pick up on the issue. I guess if no one else has the same problem then maybe there is a fault?
