Thanks for the replys, seems I’m not alone with this issue! i have the car back at the dealers next week, they want to keep it for a couple if days for “further tests” as I’ve told them I’m not accepting there’s nothing wrong or to worry about! This is tainting my enjoyment of the car right now as I’m constantly listening and hearing the grinding. picture of my front nearside wheel.

Morning all, I have had my vrs since September absolutely love it, i have covered 3k miles in it with no issues at all, in the last couple of weeks i have noticed the brakes grinding, it is very apparent and loud first thing on a morning or if the car has been sat for a while, this loud noise soon disappears but i can still hear the grinding when braking normally and when the car comes to a standstill. I had the car back to the dealers last week, they test drove the car with me and agreed there was some grinding noises, put the car on the ramps but couldn’t fail the braking system and said it was perfectly safe to drive. They said they have seen this on other VRS’ in the past but not sure why but cannot do anything under warranty. Anyone have experience of this issue or advice? I am now listening all the time tor this issue as i know it is there, I really don’t want this to spoil my enjoyment of the car!

Have you checked under passenger seat?

Evening all, Picked up my Octavia 245 today, absolutely love it. I have come from Audi, previously owned a 2013 A6 avant 2.0tdi black edition, loved the A6 as i did the two A4's prior to that, i was put onto the Octavia by a mate who had just bought one and I was impressed. Fancied a change from diesel as I'm not doing massive miles per year. Looking forward to having some fun in the Octavia as well as it serving as a family car.
