  1. Hello all When picked up my Kodiaq the dealership was unable to get me set up with Skoda Connect. After an hour and a half I'd had enough and said I needed to go and they said they'd sort me out over the phone later. Since then, the dealership have been dealing with the call centre who have, in turn, been dealing with the "escalation centre" but nothing has changed! I have the app on my phone and created an account just before I picked up the car. The problem? When I try to log in , it says my email / password is invalid. When I try to reset my password it says that my email is not registered and I need to create an account. When I try to create an account, it says that my email is already registered... Anyone else had these issues? Any solutions? I just seem to be being passed from pillar to post at the moment!
  2. Hi all Not sure if I'm doing something wrong but... I am running in my new Kodiaq and taking the advice on the internet and not going over 3000rpm for the first 500 miles (it's a 1.4TSi 150bhp DSG). The gear shifting works well apart from going up several hills on my way to work where the car seems reluctant to shift out of 2nd gear and I have to go slow, reach the top, then it finally shifts into 3rd. I can see no reason why the car shouldn't shift into third whilst going up the hill as it's not steep! (If I try to accelerate to get it to kick into third then I will go over 4000rpm.) Any thoughts?
  3. Now that I have my new bear, I am deliberating over whether or not to go for a service plan. I have the care on 48 month PCP, but will probably look to change it sometime in Year 3. I've been quoted the following: 3 years £307 service / £397 service and maintenance 4 years £454 service / £891 service and maintenance link for info here: http://www.skoda.co.uk/owners/service-and-maintenance Apparently, the huge jump between 3 / 4 year service and maintenance is because Skoda anticipate more parts being need after 36 months!? Anyway - what are your thoughts?
  4. Finally took the plunge and picked up my 1.4TSi 4x4 DSG last week - getting used to petrol again (much more refined!) but perhaps mourning the higher mpg figures of my Superb diesel!
  5. Dear AllI have a mk2 Superb 4x4 with DSG. It's a great car but my lease is up and am looking at getting a Kodiaq.I drive 5 miles each way to work every day on country lanes and other 10 mile-ish bursts at weekends. As a family (4 of us) we do approx. 1000 miles every year driving around UK motorways / A roads when on holiday. We don't tow anything but car is always fully loaded on these occasions!I cover about 10k-12k every year.I've not had issues with DPF but there are some weeks where I do not get to give my current car a blast to clear the filter. Would the 1.4tsi 150bhp have enough power to cope with the family and luggage on board, and what all this weight might do mpg?! Or would one of the diesels be a better option, considering my driving needs? I don't really want the 2.0tsi as the mpg is low. i like the mpg of diesels and worry about the mpg hit if I go petrol - but the petrol is cheaper to lease than the diesels.I would buy on PCP over 3 or 4 years.Any advice gratefully received!
