My turbo has started making a loud whining siren type noise on startup. It only lasts for a about 1-2 minutes then it goes back to normal. I also have low/no boost during this time then its all 100% fine after. Any ideas on the cause? Dont think the turbo is knackered as its only on 40k standard turbo and the fact that within 1-2 its fine again. Done an oil change which changed nothing. Thanks

No, I understand SMF are noisy but the valeo kit has been reviewed multiple times to have no noise at all, so was just asking the question as to if anyone else has had similar issues

Hi all, just had had a valeo SMF conversion kit installed in my Fabia, now every time I’m on the bite or crawling at low revs I get a noise from the clutch itself also a noise when between 2-2.5k revs when accelerating. more like a wooshing noise ive attached the video of the noise I mentioned first, the video is me pressing and releasing the clutch sounds like a rattle/chatter of the springs but not sure want to know if it’s normal and if anyone else has experienced it, hopefully someone can shed some light F9182325-9504-4767-A419-02C847E243BC.MOV

My cars developed a misfire on idle, it’s not all the time but was very bad tonight it felt like it was going to stall had previous issues with not starting, would start then cut straight out then be a pain to start fine after - this was every now and again mainly with cold weather - not putting them down to glow plugs because of the other problems so yeah, now it’s misfiring, no fault codes on VAG com. Only got the cheap copy so not the most reliable Have replaced cam position sensor already any ideas? Possible injector loom but it’s not permanent... thanks 2005 VRS ASZ engine

I need some help/advice on what could possibly be gone, Car started doing this a few weeks ago(see video) would then turn over for 10 seconds and then start, only done this when it’s cold Got a code reader and didn’t show any codes Changed camshaft position sensor last week, didn’t fix it, still been funny Got in to my car to leave work this morning and it done the same as it done in the video except this time it would start at all, just turning over, no EML lights on Called AA out, he put brake cleaner in to intake and it started to start which indicates it’s not getting fuel He towed me home and we bump started it on the way home and it started first bump, horrible idle but it was running Driving Home wasn’t great, didn’t feel right, weird revs eg letting off the gas and the revs went up a bit before they come back down but came back down very slow - not usual, kinda felt like Weird engine brake, Second and third video kinda shows it but not very well Anyone have any idea what it’s gonna be? Possible lift pump? Sensor? Got an annoying engine vibration between 2200 revs and 2500 revs and can’t figure out what it is and it’s driving me mad anyone had it before? 55 plate Fabia VRS happens in every gear and has been happening for years now clutch and DMF was replaced, drive shafts have been replaced left engine mount seems tight haven’t checked any others any other options? Cars on 120k
