Made it to work - and actually was sat next to a cop car! Now just to get to the dealers later on!

Got the insurance sorted now for 13 quid! As for relative fully comp - apparently not. The vehicle must be insured for the relative to drive it. Fully comp for the day now, just the tax issue to dodge!

I thought about that too! To be honest, I'd be seriously unlucky getting pinched for not having tax. Private car park at work so it's off the road all day. Only got the journey to worry about - might do a "Del Boy" - "tax in the post" :lol: Anyway, signed my life away - and my new toy was sat all shiny waiting for me to play with him!

Our man has indeed - and you've got the situation bang on. I'm going to sign the documentation in an hour and pick the car up at 4pm tomorrow. Apparently, Skoda do a 7 day cover note to allow me to drive the car away. I wonder if they'll start it early To be honest, I'm not remotely bothered about the MOT/Tax issue, but I dont really want to drive the P/X vehicle without being covered.

Hmmm trade plates eh? I'll ask about them when I go in today to sign some paperwork. I've a feeling they wont do it though!

Right, funny one this one! I've a car which I'm part-exing against my new vRS which is currently off the road, untaxed and uninsured. I've rang 3 places trying to get a 24 cover note to allow me to get the car to the dealers (obviously not worrying about the tax!), but no-one will touch it! Anyone any ideas on how I can get the car to the dealership legally (relatively)? :confused:
