  1. Recently i had the same error on the maxidot. Went to the dealership, and they changed the switch for around 200 Euros, and indeed, they only change the switch and not the whole gear selector.
  2. One short update. There is an error present in the climatronic menu. It just says Error: Auxiliary/parking heating. No other details. Also, as the temperature outside here is around 0 degrees Celsius, the car is taking longer to warm up (which is normal under the conditions), so the heating pump is not working correctly even if the engine is running. Usually, if below 4 degrees (i believe) the pump would start with the engine and warm up the car. I wanted to point this out as per my research, in some cases, the AH would not work when started from the remote, but would work when the engine starts. I plan on going back to the dealer next week and run a scan for errors. Will update the thread afterwards, maybe someone has the same issue as me.
  3. Thanks for the reply. Will do, will scan it and see what's up. I thought someone had a similar issue.
  4. Hello ppl and I wish everyone a Happy New Year I need some help. As the temperature here is 0 degrees Celsius or lower, this morning the windows were frozen and I started the Auxiliary heater (not electric) on my 2.0 tdi through the secondary remote. A few minutes later, I went out for a smoke and I was hearing the heater working and the diesel smoke in the air, but the ice was still there and there were some strange cracking noises coming from under the hood (must have been the heater elements). Said f it and got in the car and left. When I got home, left the car to cool and started the AH again through the remote. The heater started normally, but there was no hot air coming out the vents and a few minutes later (5) it completely stopped. I checked the AH car settings, the heater was set on heating and everything was normal. The temperature set was 28 degrees Celsius, but when started, no hot air was coming out and after ~5 minutes it stopped by itself. TLDR. Car is equipped with AH (not electric). Heating is selected and temperature is set to HI or 28 degrees C. The pump starts, but there is no hot air coming out the vents and it stops after 5 minutes. Any ideas or does anyone have a suggestion?
  5. I'm getting back on first post and apologies for the late reply. They replied on the 20th of November. Well, Skoda CZ replied and they said that indeed the sound is coming from the vacuum-oil pump combo, and that the sound is normal and I should not worry about it. Furthermore, as my car is still under warranty until December, I asked what would happen if the pump will fail shortly after the warranty expires, but the question was ignored. Shortly after this e-mail, I was contacted by a manager from Porsche (Porsche is the main dealer here that sells Audi, VW, Skoda, Seat, Porsche, well, everything VAG...) and he also sent me an e-mail in which states that he acknowledges the sound and in case the pump fails, it will be replaced with a new one. That's pretty much it.
  6. Is there a link where I can download the last update which included all the maps? Just before they made the split...?
  7. Nice job. I'm interested in seeing the video as the car looks as the perfect sleeper.
  8. Hello, I've been checking the CZ configurator and they now offer a new option for the digital gauges. Does anyone know any info about them? Could they be retrofitted to a non-digital version? I guess they will be linked to a Nav option in order to get them factory fitted.
  9. Hey guys. Just a short update. I e-mailed Skoda CZ on the 25th of October, and since then, I only got a reply on the 3rd of November, from one of the CS employees asking for the service papers (which I included in my first e-mail) so he can "forward" my request to the Customer Care Department. Since then, no updates. Did a follow-up, no reply. I started to believe that, as a colleague said in an earlier post, this case will be closed as "expected behavior". Will keep you updated if they will finally reply.
  10. I'll call the second dealer today and schedule an appointment. Regarding the mileage, I'm currently at ~35.000 km (~22000 miles). The shame is that I treat my car better than 90% of people around me, as I always enjoy having a perfectly running/looking car. Anyway, yesterday I contacted Skoda on Facebook, told them the story and they asked me to send them an e-mail to Skoda "HQ" describing in detail the issue and how the dealer tried solving it. They seemed very interested on how the problem was taken care of by the dealer. I'll keep you posted.
  11. Will do, thank you. Tomorrow I'll call another dealer and schedule an appointment with them. Hopefully they will at least try to find the source. Anyway, I'll keep you posted on my progress
  12. That's exactly how they said it, and I am not kidding. I've given them an example, as my friend just bought a 2017 2.0 tdi 4x4 combi, with the exact same config, and there's no rattle. Their answer was that each engine is different. (at this point I face-palmed) the conversation continued but it's pointless to carry on here as I was not winning... Anyway, the thing is I really worry about the sound. I've heard all kind of possibilities, the vacuum pump, oil pump, some kind of plastic that can rattle when cold..
  13. Hi guys, I'm having the following issue with my 2016 2.0 TDI 4x4 DSG. Every morning, when the engine is cold and I start it up, I hear this rattle coming from the right side of the engine. It's best heard somewhere near the right wheel, like in the video below. After a few miles, when the engine reaches 60+ degrees, the rattle goes away. I went to the local Skoda dealer and I was told that it's a "normal" sound and I shouldn't worry about it as it could be the vacuum pump. I was wondering if someone else had this problem, or ever heard that noise before and if you know what could be the source. Thank you.
