  1. Hi All, Our yeti has started making an intermittent grinding noise that comes from the drivers front wheel. It seems to be triggered when the wheel is turned to the right and then comes and goes while driving. The car has now done 36,000 miles we were told the disc and pads were changed when we got the car, the mileage then was 31,000 and have now done 5000 miles since they were fitted at our main dealer. Wondered if anyone has had the same or has got any thoughts what the problem is. Many Thanks for any help you can give. Denis
  2. Hi, Many thanks for taking the time to help, I did fancy the TSI 1800 it could have been a nice motor what were they thinking.. Sound like you've saves me a lot of time looking for something that not there. Thanks again. You Guys are so much help to novices like me. M
  3. I am interested in buying a Yeti Tsi 1800, but hear not so good things about this engine ie.. Timing chain stretch which leads to slip and possible engine fail. I believe their are 3 generations of engine fitted, Gen, 1,2,3, iI think the one to try and get is the gen 3 version . My question is how do I identify that the car advertised has the Gen 3 engine, If I am completely wrong on this subject you comment would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks Denis .
