  1. The Superb is a big car. In tight places, like parking garages, much attention is required, and the proximity sensors make thing worse... It is longer than my Jeep the weighs one ton more... It is a great highway cruiser, it is not for cruising downtown.
  2. I had some with AA as well, I have sorted them out by: 1. Make sure your cable is good, I am on my third one. 2. When you connect your phone, it may ask you to allow Mirrorlink, don't touch the phone, or allow it. 3. On your phone go to settings -> Connections -> More connections settings -> MirrorLink - there set MirrorLink to off (that's for a Samsung phone, may be a bit different on other brands) Should sort out all AA issues.
  3. Issue with climate control repeated today. Seems that it happens when it is not in auto mode. After a full car shutdown and restart all good again.
  4. Same here, after a total lock and systems shutdown, on the next start all was OK again. It seems like a communication matter between the climate controller and the infotainment system, happened only once in my S3.
  5. I didn't get the 280PS for its great fuel consumption I enjoy pushing it, getting 10 km/l that is not bad at all.
  6. The only boom I am getting, in my 280PS, is from the exhaust when changing gears over 3,000 RPM not under full throttle, seems like sort of pressure release, I am looking for a way to reproduce that boom when I want, great sound.
  7. Yep, today the hood's opening lever fell... Two days ago the climate control menu disconnected from the infotainment system. I am starting to get worried, I have less than 5,000 km on it. Driven many BMWs and Mercs, cost much more indeed, but also quality is way higher.
  8. What happened to the ACC? what was the fix? Your car - engine? model ?
  9. Yes, putting the mirror selector to R sorted the.matter, RTFM. Thanks all, glitches gone, my S3 back to its full glory.
  10. Thanks, wasn't aware, will check tomorrow and will update (for me switch to the R). In the meanwhile media system and climate control are speaking again to each other, glitch gone away.
  11. So 5 weeks with me, a new Sportline 280PS and electrical glitches started: 1. Right mirror doesn't go down any more when reversing, playing with the setting doesn't change a thing (we drive on the right side of the road). 2. Media system lost connection with climate control, the climate control's menu button doesn't show the menu anymore, selecting from the media menu, showing climate off when on, see attached video.20170924_203346.mp4 Time to start pulling fuses and putting back? Anyone encountered the same?
  12. DCC set to sport is the solution for stability. Probably the computer changes DCC to harder setting at high speed?
  13. Page 218: When approaching maximum speed (launch control function) The launch control function is available in mode S or Tiptronic. › Disable the TCS » page 221, Braking and stabilisation systems. › START STOP deactivate » page 211, Manually disable / enable system. › Fully depress and hold the brake pedal with your left foot. › Fully depress the accelerator pedal with your right foot. › Release the brake pedal - the vehicle is running at maximum acceleration.
  14. Indeed you can find the functionalities of Android Auto ("AA") in your media system, the added value of AA for me: Waze - online police warning (driving a 280HP Superb, it is a must...) Music - did you try "Google play music", sync all your music library to the cloud (all...) and listen to it in the car, no need for to sync sd cards, or usb sticks. Whatsapp - works by voice, not perfect but working, the risk of texting while driving tempting, AA just prevents it. As AA is backed by Google, you can expect it to develop and become a versatile tool that your media system can not be. In the future apps like Torque, TripAdvisor, online shares price information and others will integrate into AA, making it much better. Eventually the sophisticated media system you have now will become redundant.
  15. So yesterday I went to my favorite up-hill twisted road, put it into sport mode and selected ESC Sport (you need to do it in addition to choosing the sport mode, by holding down the ESC button). Came out from the segment a bit shaken and stirred, in that mode you get a lot of fun but you do need to watch it, easy to get carried away. No doubt that the engine is feels much more rev friendly as I build on the miles.
  16. The only two colors available for me were Business Grey and the Brilliant silver, the Gray was snatched, so I was left with the silver? Indeed only dull colors for the sportline. I am getting used to the Silver, not so abd.
  17. On the light side, not sure my Sportline 280hp know the difference between going up or down a hill, same insanity when pushing the pedal.
  18. I drive the sportline 280, didn't notice a lag. Must have the DCC, normal mode is soft. Sport mode better. It is not a sport's car, big comfortable cruiser that can put serious speed and acceleration.
