  1. Hi everyone - have recently acquired a 2012 skoda VRS blackline - there is not indication that the cam belt/waterpump has been replaced - the car has done 53000 miles - anybody tell me when the cambelt should have been replaced.
  2. Anyone living near Manchester who has VCDS to change my maxi dot on octavia to Australian version for MPH read out ? Thanks in anticipation
  3. Here i am again - i have removed the rear light cover from my superb hatch in an effort to identify the reversing light wiring but it seems there are only 3 wires going into the light assembly - anybody got any ideas as to how to find the reversing light wire ??? thanks
  4. Yes that seems to be the way to go - just trying to save a few pennies - thanks for the reply
  5. I am installing a reversing camera to my Skoda Superb mk111 L and K - not the factory one but one i've bought from amazon - one of the wires from the camera has to be linked to the reversing light - i have taken the rear light cover off but it seems difficult to access any wiring never mind the one for reversing !! Anybody any suggestions Thanks in anticipation.
  6. I have a 190 4x4 and drive mostly in economy mode and most times i struggle to get 40mpg and i do have a light foot.
  7. The car battery was flat because I left the dashcam connected whilst on holiday forgetting the 12 volt charging point was permanently live - I had only had the car a week so lesson learnt the hard way
  8. I have a superb 111 with Kessy - I decided to try out the emergency unlocking - having read up from the user manual I removed the small cover from the drivers door handle - inserted my emergency key with the handle pointing down as per instructions and nothing happened - I tried it with the handle facing up and it worked - useful if you have a flat battery as i did - note you must have your key fob present when unlocking !!!!!
  9. I have a Superb 111 hatchback and i want to fit a number plate reversing camera - in order to do this i need to drill a hole for the wires behind the number plate - can anyone tell me how to remove the trim on the hatch in order to do this ? thanks in anticipation.
  10. Put speed cameras on the columbus system on my 190 4x4 as per above instructions - took 3 goes and a change of SD card but got there in the end and works brilliantly - just wondering if when pocket gps updates the cameras do we have to go through the same process again to update ours ??
  11. Very good question - I don't know what it is and would be very interested to find out ?????
  12. Thanks for all the replies - I have now established that it was the light reflecting from the car showroom - it just shows that everything isn't always what it seems !!!!!!
  13. attached is a picture of my superb L and K 4 x 4 sent to me by the dealer before I bought it - if you notice one of the headlights is lit but on the right hand side of the headlamp unit - I have tried to replicate this on the car and my headlamp unit shows the lights on dip and main beam on the left hand side - my question is what is on the right hand side of the unit and why cant i replicate the photo - i am probably being extremely thick but i would appreciate any explanation - thanks in anticipation.
  14. I switched personalization off and on again and the memory seat worked fine
