I've managed to jam my rear seat (large side) so it won't fold down. I think the mechanism got jammed with the seat belt, which I've now freed, however in trying to fix it the pull-up handle has snapped. Any ideas how I can get it free?

I'm planning to swap my shocks and springs out. Are there any recommended parts to swap out at the same time?

I have access to a family discount through an Audi dealer, and was thinking of getting the parts needed for my timing/water pump replacement. The issue is that they can only search for parts from Audi vehicles, either by reg or chassis. I guess the easiest option is to find an Audi with the same engine? Will all the necessary parts be the same? Any thoughts or pointers?

I had issues towards the end of last year where my steering was really 'lose'. It turned out to be the steering arms/ball joints which were replaced. Drove really nicely until a few weeks ago. I'm not having issues again but this time, the steering still feels secure, but it's far too light, and is really sensitive to road conditions. Tracking still seems okay, but it pulls with camber. Any ideas? Power steering issues?

Can anyone confirm these part numbers / provide up-to-date information? Also P/Ns for the two sets of stretch bolts would be helpful.

Has anyone ever done/seen white steel wheels on a Fabia vRS? My factory alloys are getting tatty and I was thinking of doing something a little different. Is it a little bit too Peugeot to go this route? Are there any 16" steel wheels with the same specs as the OEM vRS wheels?

The manual for the Mk1 seems to state that is is relevant for '2000 to 2006 (W to 06 reg)'. Why does it not extend to the latter models, and is there any real difference here? Am I likely to experience any changes between the manual and a 56 plate?

My vRS has developed a grinding noise/rattle at idle. Seems to be coming from the front right (drivers side) and only seems to be aparent when the engine is at operating temperature and idling (sitting just below 1000RPM). It gets slightly louder when you start to release the clutch, then stops entirely when the revs hit 1000RPM. It may be worth noting that the noise is present in and out of gear, with and without the clutch engaged. Have tried to take a video but every time I try to the noise mysteriously stops! The noise definately seems to be related to engine speed. Possibly related, the engine is much more rough below 1000RPM so I'm thinking this could be related. Could it be something along the lines of fuel/water pump, alternator or timing pulleys?

Sorry, yet another caliper paint thread... Doesn't seem to be anything recent. Any experience using this colour to repaint vRS calipers? It seems to be the easiest to come by for a decent price (wthout doing a custom mix). Nearly impossible to tell on a screen but it looks to be a touch brighter?
