  1. Thanks for the advice - I won't get them.
  2. I am thinking of buying a set of used wheels for my 1.8 TSi. They are Audi 17", 8J, offset 39, 5 stud, diameter 112. Anybody know if they will fit?
  3. Yes they are the ones in your photos. The Halfords grommets are much cheaper and also better.
  4. Having bought a Mk2 Superb with two of the rear light cluster grommets missing and one of the 2 remaining ones broken, I sought a solution. I bought some rubber grommets from Halfords which fit perfectly. They are Membrane Grommets 8 mm and 13 mm, code HFX214, price £1.99. They are actually better than the original ones.
  5. I wrote to Skoda UK and they replied saying that the 7 speed DSG gearbox is maintenance-free.
  6. Thanks for your reply. Yes, it's the 7 speed twin dry clutch. I checked and it has had the '34F7' update.
  7. There is occasionally a slight judder from 1st to 2nd on my 1.8 Tsi Superb. It seems to be a common fault. Is it a sign that the gearbox is about to fail? Normally it changes very smoothly.
  8. The engine is the later one with the 2 pressure switches. They changed both of them, but no luck. Where is the regulating valve located?
  9. The low oil pressure warning comes on in my 2010 Superb 1.8 TSi. when I exceed 3,500 r.p.m. The garage has fitted new pressure sensors, but the fault remains (light comes on at over 3,500 r.p.m.) They now say it could be the oil pump. Could it be that? And if so, why is OK below 3,500 r.p.m.?
  10. That's strange because mine definitely has a DSG 7 speed.
  11. Just to put a cap on the debate about whether the 7 sped DSG autobox is a service item, I received a reply from Skoda technical services (UK): Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding DSG Oil change intervals for the above vehicle. I am sincerely sorry for the delay in my response."I can confirm after speaking to our Technical Support Team, that this vehicle does not require any DSG oil changes. If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact me quoting the above reference number.
