One my nicknames when I was younger was 'Weasel'. Now I'm a little older I'm always knackered.

The company I work for has a couple of auditors that come down from Scotland. Young(ish) lads who like to sample the delights of Durham when they're down. Last year they turned in the following morning after a late night session on the turps looking decidedly unwell. I was nipping out to get a sarnie at lunchtime and thought I'd ask, "You lads want anything?" "IRN BRU!!" came the reply in unison

I'll give you a tip for Edinburgh. Don't do what I did and go straight out on the sauce the moment your feet touch ground. Especially if it's 11 o'clock in the morning and you haven't eaten anything. Also.......if you're going to ignore my advice, DO NOT book yourself onto a tour of the Edinburgh vaults for the following day.

I'll start my panic shopping on the 23rd of December as usual. Every sodding year. I've no idea why I do it to myself.

I never ride without ear plugs. I use the Howard Leight ones. Mostly because there are boxes of the suckers lying around at work and I can just grab a fistfull of them when I'm running low. Like you I tend to find they start giving me earache after a few hours. I might have to look at getting some custom ones.
