  1. Due to work commitments I have not been able to get on the site for a while. (months ) My God  what a lot of changes, I thought I'd found some hijacked scammed out site by mistake. Half the people I knew seem to be gone, the new format is totally different (but Cool) When did this all happen? I promise to pay more attention in the future
  2. Sat/nav, leccy rear windows, 17" alloys need I say more ? none of that would be particularly difficult to do, and it is meant to be a special edition
  3. Ok captured! I didn't, Dubia's a bit different to mainland GB. I apologise hides provincial face in shame I keep forgetting that the club is world wide. On the other hand If there was a large bet on it I bet it could be done!
  4. No, they are generally quite tough wee vehicles. We have a cube van (basically the same set up) and it just keeps going and going. I don't think you'll have too much bother with it unless it's not been looked after. All the best
  5. Brake lights will be on constantly mate. You will need a new switch. Use 1J0945511D up to chassis no 6Y-3-725552 or 3B0945511D if a later chassis no. Part no. changes again in 06 model year. Best get your dealer to check for you.
  6. The dealer is either a lazy *** or a complete liar, a new key can be obtained before the end of the week, providing you supply the correct info and pay for the new one in advance. Fact!
  7. I like it! Mother always said I was a sick puppy though!
  8. Ah the joys of living out in the sticks! I only have parking issues at home when my own family come to visit. Equates to six extra cars out in the street
  9. Sorry guy (and galls) I'm afraid this car is not special enough in my opinion. The only difference between it and my vRS is the tinted windows and the leather seats, Skoda you need to try harder! Opps forgot the red calipers as well (they look carp, I prefer the Green ones anyway)
  10. I find letting my 9 year old answer the phone works pretty well!
  11. I wouldn't bother, just replace every two years to be on the cautious side
  12. They are a be'atch to keep clean but white is the way to go for me
  13. i was told that my fault is to do with corrosion inside the drivers door. the ones we've seen like that have all been sorted with new window motor and door loom. The water gets inside the motor and corrodes all the conections on motor and loom.
  14. Ahh convenience control unit then? would need the chassis no for that. Just thought, that unit is not located in the door it sit inside the car, so can't be that, it only leaves the door latch itself if not window motor
  15. Sounds as though you are looking for the window motor and door loom to me 1U6959802D03Q and 1U0971120BG respectively. Oops, if its an Octavia that is.
  16. I always find a baseball bat to be a wonderful deterent when "having a word"
  17. I drive mine like I stole it when I'm on my own and sensibly when SWMBO and the kids are in the car. 1800rpm to 4000 rpm is where the fun is at!
  18. I think it would be a mistake on Skodas part not to have a diesel vRS Fabia mk11, after making such a good reputation on the mk1. I really don't want a petrol one at all, I am a diesel convert now, so if they don't, I think they will loose a lot of their existing customer base.
