  1. Hi Guys A while ago I installed a tow bar and multiplex relay on my 2007 Octavia, I had some issues with the first multiplex relay and while testing it I must’ve spiked something in the control module for the two small side lights in the left rear light assembly and now they don’t go and it brings up a warning on the dash. All the other lights in the main cluster work, just not the small side lights. Iv disconnected the multiplex relay to see if that makes a difference- it doesn’t. Iv tried replacing bulbs etc. iv checked it with a multimeter and can confirm there’s no current to the sockets. Iv got the boot plastics off and it appears all the right hand lights seem to be fed from a module in the boot, but the wires for these two little side lights seem to disappear into the loom that goes to the front of the car. Does any one know which module it is that feeds them? Iv had plastics out of the front of the car, and found the wire by the left front footwell but it’s very hard to see where it goes next. Iv had the radio and climate control out trying to find it but no luck yet. If any one knows where these two frustrating lights are fed from I’d be very grateful!! Hope you guys in the uk are enjoying the good weather. thanks in advance from the bottom of the globe. And I have had a good dog around with the search function but couldn’t find what I was after. regards Ben
  2. Hi, after lurking around here while doing my homework before buying my Octavia vrs, I figured now Iv purchased a vrs tdi mk2 wagon, or estate as you call them. I mayaswell sign up. I'll do my best to use the search function and not tread on anyone's toes. My real name is Ben, I'm a maintenance technician/fitter turner who works at a dairy factory over here. Iv owned turboed Subarus and evo's before and do all my car maintenance myself. I'm 32, been married 8years now and we have little girl who's a lot of fun but keeps me on my toes. I bought the Octavia as it's practical, comfortable, economical, but is still fun to drive. It's standard at the moment but will not stay that way. First job though is dmf to smf and new clutch as the current dmf is puckarooed.
