Good Day Guys, Excuse my ignorance of this topic but what is the model number of the DSG7 from my 2017 SB? I see people calling them DQ###?

I just had this servicing done.. they replaced a switch they say. As I understand this in SOME cases does the trick but they refuse to give me any documentation saying the service was performed or what part was replaced.. they tell this is because it manufacturer repair and not a dealer repair so there is no.paperwork to provide me, the owner.... My warranty is up in 4 months so I'm not entirely comfortable with that outcome! The issue was still very intermittent and could got weeks or months without showing up... And if the issues was not active during the repair would they know if it's the switch or the shift assembly??

Just incase anyone is stillr eading this topic, I have a 2017 Rapid Spaceback with glass top.. Here is what I ordered and worked like a charm!

I just did this ok on a 16gb card.. It does indeed say this will no longer work on the website but it does.. it JUST fits but it fits.. Simply MOVE the data from the card to your computer for backup. This will remove it from card and then you can copy the update to it. You must first decompress the zip on your computer and copy that data to SD. do not copy the zip to SD and try to decompress it. Worked for me.. 1. MOVE, not copy, all data from NAV SD card to your computer. (Your SD card should now be empty) 2. DECOMPRESS the downloaded NAV.zip file on to your computer. 3. COPY the decompressed contents to the SD card.

Good Day Guys, I have read a bunch of reviews about the Thule Kit 1754 for my Rapid Spaceback with Panoramic Roof however when I search for the correct one on Thule's website it refers to Kit 5166. if I manually search for kit 1754 they both state they work on the same vehicle but look very different. Searching the forum I do not see anything about 5166 so is this possibly a NEW model replacing the old one? I really do not want to buy the wrong one and damage my car. Thanks!

Nope :( I’ve exhausted my breath with the dealer. I even contacted the factory that produced my car if they could send me some kind of a build list for my car.. all I want to know is what is possible with what is in the car and yet no one can tell me.. simply Clever my arse.. I still love my car but as a tech minded person I’m soooooo frustrated!!

So frustrating I cannot get a straight answer from the dealer who sold me car.. As far as they know, there computer tells them NO my car cannot :( and yet everything in the car states otherwise!!!

another question, my SW train version is MST2_EU_SK_ZR_PO353T and I read somewhere that if it is "MST2" then its MIB2? Can someone confirm that? After looking at the screenshots again, I dont see where I saw this was an Amundsen and after looking at the update portal, the photo of the columbus looks a lot more like mine the the Amundsen with a smaller screen it seems.. WHY THEY MAKE THIS SO DAMN CONFUSING!

Turns out I didnt need to piggy at all.. Got a 2.4amp extender and ran it through the hole from the ebrake up behind the radio, our the sensor I believe is to detect lights and although its tight, it popped back in and the cable is now hidden :)) It took a while with a long thin wooden stick to figure out where the other side of that hole in the dash came out lol..

On a side note.. taken from another post the following codes I found. It states there 00060300 Mirrorlink, 00060800 is Apple CarPlay are "Supported Codes" as seen in my screenshots. Hello Everyone. I am new to Skoda and have purchased a beautiful dealer demo car. It states it is from January 2017? however when I search build dates, that doesn't seem to match... It is definitely the new look spaceback, They called this one the JOY. I was kicking myself I didn't ask at the dealer but I was informed today that my radio does not support DAB or SmartLink/Mirrorlink, however, it does state "you can activate Smartlink, to activate contact your dealer". So my question is, how do I figure out what hardware I actually have in my car and IS it possible to upgrade/activate? If not, is it possible to purchase an infortainment unit I see listed on ebay that states DAB etc.. unlocked? Can I just swap this unit out with the one in my glovebox? Also, I see lots of people talking about firmware upgrades however I do not see any for mine. When I hold MENU and look at the update files, it states they are from 01/01/2013? Any help would be greatly apprecaited. Also, I see a bunch of supported codes that are not in activated? What are these and how to activate? See photos below:

Good Day Guys, I have a question.. Can anyone advise preferably with instructions or photos on the best place to run power cables for 1. a TOMTOM unit at the bottom on the windshield and 2. a dashcam at the top of the windshield. Everything in my 2017 spaceback seems very well put together and panels will not seem to budge so I really do not want to break anything! Is it possible to power the dashcam from the power to the lights at the top? Is this not advisable? THanks guys!
