  1. I got a Fiscon pro kit and had it fitted and its the dogs ***&^!s. Full touch screen functionality through the Bolero for £300 ) Skoda dealer have agreed to do the Coding which will also enable use through the MFD so a bonus. Thanks for the help on this.
  2. Out of interest, which Parrott did you install and how tidy does it look? Where did you put the display?
  3. I recently changed my Octavia 4x4 Estate for new Octavia VRS Limited Edition, and am trying to work out if there are any phone connection kits out there (wired or bluetooth) which will allow the telephone functionality within the Bolero touch screen radio to be used. I've spoken to both my Skoda dealer and Skoda UK, who say there isnt which seems a little odd and it seems a shame that I need to bolt on an aftermarket piece of kit when the Bolero radio handbook shows some great phone tools built in. I'm now considering a Parrot handsfree to get me going, but before I do this I wondered if anyone has any experience of this radio, or can offer any help? Thanks
  4. Thanks for the suggestions. Replaced front ARB and bushes a week ago and thought the problem was resolved. Sadly it returned today with no perceivable differences and still intermittent! Car back on the ramps and checked, with nothing obvious. ARB links look good, no play in CV joints or drive shaft, wheels OK, suspecnsion appears OK. Going back to my earlier description, the one thing I cannot work out is why the knock is intermittent? What could do this? I have also been thinking about why it dissapears when I depress clutch and returns when clutch released. Gets bad on RH lock? Could this be the Clutch release bearing? Has anyone had any problems with this or any thoughts on if this could be the problem? I am guessing I will just have to wait for the fault to be 100% persistant before I can investigate fully, but would appreciate any help or thoughts. Regards Craig
  5. Scoda Octavia 1.8T 4x4 Estate. 2001 Model. 121,000miles. Car has recently developed a knocking sound at the front end right hand side, which gets worse going around R/H corners. Stops when clutch depressed and still moving? Noise feels like drive related as it does ease when you accelerate and get worse when you take foot of the gas. Another point to note is that it is intermittent, being there most of the time but occasionally disappearing for a few miles completely? Engine management light came on today although I don't know if this is just a co-incidence. Engine did feel a bit lumpy earlier (vibration), but is now back to running smooth as ever? Thought it was Anti roll bar bushes which have been replaced to no avail. - On a sepearte note, does anyone know if you should be able to move he anti-roll bar laterally by hand? Can't see anything obvious. Problem has got me confused and any advise would be appreciated. Thanks Craig
