  1. Thanks all - my query that brought me here was in relation to whether my Thule 757s that I've used on two previous estate cars (a Seat and Mercedes) would be compatible with my Superb Mk3 and where on the car to position them. Now fixed in place, and while the inner part of the footpack doesn't seem to be gripping too well, the outer part wraps around sufficiently to provide a good grip.
  2. Thought I'd just drop a few pics I found on an SD card today that I took at the Tour of Britain last year.
  3. I've now had my 2017 Superb Sportline Combi for just under 6 months, and have put 14,000 miles on top of the ex-demonstrator mileage that was on it when I bought it so it's sitting at just over 25k miles currently. After hitting a pothole on the M6 the other day I gave the tyres a once over at the weekend and sure enough the offside front has duck egged. This is particularly annoying as only the other week I'd taken a good look at the tyres, and was congratulating myself on having kept a good tread on all 4 tyres at 22k+ miles. So I've been looking at the usual Kwik-Fit, ATS, F1 etc and there's no major price motivation to fit anything other than at least another pair (hopefully I can get away with just the front pair rather than a full set) of Pirelli Cinturato 7s at £175ish per corner. I opted for Michelin Pilot Sport in my previous car, a Seat Exeo ST and was getting very poor wear overall on them. So this reasonably high-miler will be sticking with the Pirellis given the experience I've had with them and other similar tyres. My main beef is with the M6 maintenance people!!!
  4. Just given her her first wash. So happy with how the wheels look. I'll try my best not to scuff them!
  5. Sat Nav now successfully updated - just to stress, it wasn't an issue with the car, just getting the right combination of SD card format and OS - I was trying it with my Macbook. When I used my Windows laptop this afternoon it worked like a dream. I'll do some more photos when time permits.
  6. Hi all New here, and here's my first post - a picture of my (new to me) 6 month old ex-demonstrator Superb Sportline Estate 2.0 TDi 150 MY17. It'll be used for mainly motorway driving - approx. 35k miles a year, so frugality was more important to me than performance, but the ability to carry all my gear around will be a great bonus, rather than having to be selective about what kit I could take and what I had to leave at home with my old Seat Exeo Estate 2.0 TDi (2012) Only collected her yesterday, but on my first trip out today I've averaged 60.5 mpg (according to the car - I'll verify this once I've cycled through a few full tanks) which will do me just fine! I'm looking forward to getting to grips with all the technology (Sat Nav Upgrade failed 3 times last night - I'll try again this evening) and may be back with some questions for you guys!
