  1. Update car serviced today at Skoda dealer who said that there was no outstanding recalls and to ignore website saying to contact dealer ... Also I mentioned the infotainment software version of 1790 was out of date , but again they did not identify any update available Flipping useless
  2. Passed MOT no advisories Mentioned to Skoda customer service that I had declined the rear drum clean as there was no way they would know without moving wheels which they hadn't .... Cheers Steve
  3. Not yet I'm guessing they service car then MOT ?
  4. Hi All Currently my 2023 Fabia is in for 3 year service and MOT at local Skoda dealer Part of the free safety check has flagged in red urgent rear drum clean due at a cost of £174 ! Car has only driven 20k miles and brakes works fine , including handbrake Is this a con ? or needs doing Thanks Steve
  5. Yep that's how I checked Skoda dealer said will check and resolve when next in for service in a few weeks time I just thought recall details were normally stated when you check Regards Steve
  6. Hi All Just checked Skoda recall website to check and my 2023 is showing please contact your service provider Just wondering if any one knows what latest recall is ? Only checked a few months ago and there were none so must be recent Btw I have contacted Skoda dealer as car is already booked in for a service so was told it would be checked then but no idea what it is ? Cheers Steve
  7. Yep I'm not sure , the 2 years AA is not national recovery so would have to buy breakdown cover with national relay Will give it some thought Cheers Steve
  8. Hello My Fabia 1.0 tsi 90 colour model is coming up to 3 years old and 20k miles Very happy with car and no plans to change Therefore looking at service plan for next 2 years and found out they also offer a product that includes 2 mots , 2 years breakdown , 2 services including sparkplugs and pollen filter and warranty for £40 a month Also says it includes sparkplugs and pollen filter, looks to be needed at 4 years where my car will have approx 28k not sure if they would change at lower mileage? Anyone purchased the above? Any recommendations/ advice appreciated For reference my 3 year service and MOT is costing approximately £300 So if you add 2 services and 2 mots £600 Sparkplugs £100 Pollen filter £50 2 years breakdown cover £200 2 years warranty almost free addition if purchase Thanks Steve
  9. Yep main dealer , have service plan so no choice at moment
  10. @Ootohere Hello Its part of the service plan I bought when I got the car , so don't know cost as its included in service plan I think it would just be a oil and inspection service @ 1 year thanks for the info Cheers Steve
  11. Thanks for the replies , definitely upselling and not needed Cheers Steve
  12. Definitely felt like upselling , can't see why its needed on a 12 month service interval on a new car?
  13. Hello Have had my 2023 fabia almost 12 months , car has service plan so have just booked in first service , mileage is approx 8k miles Service department phoned saying that they recommend flushing the engine out before service extra cost approx. £40 Can't see why this is necessary ? never flushed oil out before on a modern car .... just keep it serviced Needed or not ? Cheers Steve
  14. First car with all this new tech , will have to give car a clean more often than twice a year Cheers Steve
  15. Many thanks will give car a good clean to see if it helps Cheers Steve
