  1. Thanks themanwithnoaim that’s helped looks like a standard 18 Skoda octavia space saver wheel.
  2. Anyone with 245 spare wheel know the size please and is it just a standard looking space saver wheel or if it’s different because of the bigger discs?
  3. Is it a standard T125 / 70 R 18 space saver or does it have to be a special wheel to miss the bigger discs? Got a puncture today after only 4 weeks but luckily I spotted it and was only around the corner to my preferred tyre garage. Now I’m thinking I want a spare wheel.
  4. Does any one know what size spare wheel they supply if you order one with the car? Is it a 19 or 18 inch space saver wheel?
  5. I had a diesel vrs on a 24 mths lease deal that ended last July with VW finance when I spoke to them they let me increase the lease by 3 mths at no extra cost but no longer which I did. Maybe it was because it was a 24mths lease. Maybe it was because I spoke to them with only 2 months remaining on my deal I don’t know. how long is your lease for WilldaVRs ? Is it not with VW finance? Would they let you increase it by 3 months? How long were you asking for?
  6. Oh ok , yes that is turned on. I’ll turn it off and give it a whirl. Thanks juan27.
  7. Yes I wondered if these particular tyres were sensitive to adverse cambers but it did it twice in sport mode where it was more noticeable because the steering was heavier. Might pop to get the wheel nut torque checked .
  8. Had my vrs245 for just over 2 weeks now and in that time , 4 times the steering wheel has snatched to the left, not dramatically , just for a second but so you notice. Never had any car do that before. I’m wondering if it’s a trait of the tyre profile, the actual Pirelli’s or cambers in the road. Anyone else had this happen. Cheers
  9. So just to answer a question from yesterday I drove to work this morning in normal mode as if I hadn’t got dcc and yes I think it’s do able the suspension copes with the bumps and it’s not too hard you can live with it day to day. I think the dcc or comfort mode as it’s called just knocks the edge off the harsher bumps. On reflection I could have managed without dcc. But your not to know that at the time. And me and my back aren’t getting any younger.
  10. I never upgraded to the bigger sat nav so whatever standard spec was is the one I’ve got. But having said that I’m not complaining . Compared to the one that I had in the 2015 spec vrs ( which by the way had up until then been the easiest and best sat nav I had used ) it has much better graphics , does a lot more, my 15 year old grandson’s linked it up to apple play , Skoda connect what ever that does , ( told you I was a 55 year old dinosaur ) But I’ve got to have a play yet. l drove it home as the snow was falling and as I have dcc I drove it home in comfort mode which was acceptable i’ll drive it to work in normal mode tomorrow see how it compares. The colour is moon white and honestly the pictures don’t do it justice , the colour is poppin to use my sons description. its very noticeable. I know it’s only a “ Skoda “ but it looks a million dollars Dont know how long it will be until the thieving scumbags notice it.....
  11. Picked mine up this morning.looks great in white with the black alloys imo. Electrie seats standard heated front seats standard bigger nav screen lots to check out on the electronic front. ( Bit of a dinosaur in that area ). Looks a lot chunkier that the 15 plate diesel Vrs I had last year, might be the 19” wheels . More refined inside. Well worth the wait lads.
  12. Pick up my moonstone white 245 hatchback Dsg Dcc next tuesday... ( ordered on 4th October ) weatherman said possible chance of snow...Oh well you can't have everything.
  13. On a better note had a call from the dealer. Cars arriving tomorrow he wants me to go in and finish off the paper work for the lease agreement and appraise my px at the same time. Yip yip!!
  14. Forget the top bit martysparty99 . Don't know whats happened there.
  15. As my own car is immenant I wondered if anyone has any experience with those flip up security posts that bolt to the drive or do people think it would just bring unwanted interest to the car. I have posted else where on this site but didn't get an answer. I would be interested in people's opinions as I don't won't to get the car and 3 weeks time some scumbag nicks it.
  16. Hi has anyone tried those flip up security posts that bolt onto your drive. How did you find them to use and are they easy to Fit and have they been a deterrent.cheers
  17. Think you've just got to hang on in there mate, I was originally quoted March then it went out to may/ June and then came back to Feb. For no reason I could see. Fingers crossed you won't have to wait that long .
  18. Dealer just rang my cars been built awaiting shipping.. delivery early Feb. Ordered 4th October. White 245 DSG DCC 24 mths lease £2460 down. 23 payments of £225. I'm happy with that. Can't wait !!
  19. Went to my my dealer yesterday. Still on for bw2 which is next week. Ordered 4th October.
  20. Sorry that's what I did this year July to September. Getting a bit ahead of myself there.
  21. If you've had your current lease deal through VW finance if you ring them up they should increase it by up to 3 months at the same price you are paying now and you can hand the car back any time within that 3 months. Thats what i did last year on my old car.
  22. As I say when I originally placed my order it was March. Then 2-3 weeks ago it was pushed out to May , and today collection early Febuary I did ring about a week ago having a little moan about the length of time I would now have to wait and wether changing to a 4x4 vrs would bring the waiting time down. Did that make a difference? I don't know?
