  1. I have tried but with no success to enter coordinates into the sat nav. is it possible to enter eithe long and lat, GPS or Google cords. all the places I need to go used this system. it is driving me scatty as I have to look up on google then pan the map to wher I am going and then find a rout to the location. it is the standard sat nav.
  2. It wouldn’t let me register it and it was brand new, now they can’t collect my data. i lived without it on my Vauxhall Insignia Vxr so I can live without it on my Octavia... all the the best if you must have it. i have also noticed that there things that were promised in the brochure that either aren’t there or do not work.
  3. Never got mine to work on a brand new car, gave up after 2 weeks, it looks like it is not worth the hassle. i have enough pestering without the car doing it as well.
  4. I thought that you were going to come up with that old one. “The car wants to change” .
  5. Hi all, I have been for a 2.5 hour drive today, with the caravan on the back and still no update, it really annoys me when you pay 30k for a car and the little things are wrong! manualy updated it.
  6. Hi all my Vrs diesel will not adjust to summer time unles I do it manually, if I put into auto time adjust it goes back to winter time. any ideas? thanks in advance
  7. Hate you as I got mine after the snow and had to slip slide alover the place in the wifes Ford Focus as I sold the Vxr at the end of November, bad planning on my part me thinks. hope you enjoyed it.
  8. If it is in sport mode there is a gizmo that makes a sporting noise. I hate it as I like power without the noise. Ok I am an oldie but .... Also so the tyres are very sensitive to the tarmac for noise, I had the same with the Insignia Vxr but it was worse, in fact bloody bad on the original tyres but I replaced them with Michelin and the noise was better. car having the interior and paint stain treated today so pics when I get it back..
  9. Love it, the New Octavia Vrs Estate Tdi 4x4 DSG. only done 300 miles but I like it, in the book the figures it is slower than the Vauxhall insignia Vxr estate, however No torque steer when changing cambers on roundabouts and it feels a lot more shure footed. Even the Wife loves it. love the “tractor beam” cruse control, love the LED headlights however still trying to work out the automatic dipping. Sat nav is good compared to the Vauxhall and is light years ahead over the Wife’s Ford Focus Titanium (2 year old). I am looking forward to some longer trips later this year. down sides it is Noisy (well it’s diesel over petrol) the up side MPG. still getting used to the new toys and missing some of then over the Vauxhall. Not it missing the £520 road tax though. have some photos when it’s been washed.
  10. Yes, well not all wrinkles wear trilby sand drive at 20 mph. I really wanted the the 245 but as it is not available in AWD it had to be down graded the oil burner. I will I'll be annoying the French for 8 weeks next year driving around with a caravan on the back so I wanted a decent car to tow.
  11. Well what can I say, the Insignia Elite ST Turbo is going and being replaced by the Octavia vRS. After looking for many weeks to replace my trusty tow car and sports car combined I settled on the vRS as it can tow, has a boot big enough for the higher domestic goddess's bits and bobs. it is not as fast as the Insignia but it is more refined and better build quality, also the previously mentioned goddess likes it. ( Our local dealer let me have an extended test drive). For now have a good weekend while I browse this forum and dream of picking up the new car as soon as I get the call. Oh yes I almost missed this, the car is my retirement present to our selves. regards to you all
