  1. I’ve posted here a few times and you guys have been a tremendous help, so here I am again for some help & advice! Long Story short, the rear bumper off another vehicle came off and hit my 58 Plate Skoda superb on the motorway. The cosmetic damage is minor, however, the mounting on the headlight cluster on the passenger side has snapped. I’m also missing the little headlight washer cover. Does anyone know of a breaker / specialist or anyone with those parts? I’ve been ringing around for days and can’t find anybody. I’m based in Manchester and willing to drive to collect.
  2. It had a major service and MOT back in December but I’m sure I would’ve noticed last week when I topped the wiper fluid up.. i believe its more a recent thing but because of my mileage; it could be anywhere. its the small plastic £3.79 thing you’ve brought up. Are they a universal fit?
  3. Yes, Unfortunately it was a stock issue. I was messed around so much I nearly cried. Good reputable brand, been a preference for years but this one occasion really let them down
  4. Correction^* Any recommendations on how to get another fairly quickly?
  5. Hey guys, Today, I lifted the bonnet to do an oil check and to top up the screen wash. long story short, the air intake top cover is missing. I can’t find it on the undertray.. any recommendations?
  6. After waiting nearly a month for Euro car parts to dispatch my bulbs, I got the Osram Cool intense blue Xenon bulbs (they’re not in any way blue) RRP £185.99 each. Discounted to £50.99 each. Yes, great price but waiting 21 days was a pain! Cheers for your help guys.
  7. Fab! That’s absolutely cracking advice - as a non-motor head, I do appreciate all of your advice. I would like them to be brighter as usual. The bulbs are the same as when they arrived in 2009, would like something a little brighter. Hopefully the Phillips will offer that
  8. Wow! Honestly gents, that was probably some of the best advice I’ve ever been given. I’m going to show my father this - he says I’m stupid to replace the pair at such high coating... either way, I’m replacing the pair! I agree, they should get fitted by a professional; I’m pretty clumsy at the best of times! Ive found two DS1’s on euro car parts that I have taken a liking to. Which would you personally choose? The discounts are phenomenal! https://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Skoda_Superb_2.0_2009/p/car-parts/car-electrics-and-car-lighting/lighting1/car-bulb/?48177043C&1&6ea2ec4a3986676ccb5c84acaf851ce5857be459&000384 https://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Skoda_Superb_2.0_2009/p/car-parts/car-electrics-and-car-lighting/lighting1/car-bulb/?48177043V&1&23f1edea2733d9e7439e6749e1825c29b117bb5c&000384 Cheers for your help
  9. Jon, thankyou for your swift reply. I’ll take a look, apparently there’s a control unit behind the bulb itself that controls its movement... I’m not fussed about paying for fitting tbh. cheers Keiran
  10. Hey Guys, I woke up today and noticed that my passenger side bulb was tinted pink and the drivers side bulb was perfect, as usual. I visited Halfrauds and they say that it’s most likely the bulb - the same synopsis came from Google. Anyway, long story short, he’s quoted £120 for a new bulb and £30 for an hours labour. Is this an appropriate price? Anyone know a cheaper way around this?
  11. Does anyone know anything about the gearbox oil change on a 2.0l TDI Skoda Superb Auto 2008 every 40,000 miles? is it expensive? easy job? approximate price? Cheers, Keiran
