  1. Hi Carlston, Thanks for the recommendations! I’ll get underneath today and see if I can determine what shocks are fitted. The wheels are the standard Thermisto 18” wheels (complete with the standard lacquer peel...), but it seems to have four different tyres on - which I should have spotted when I bought it. I can’t imagine that’s helping a great deal. It might also be possible that there’s a rogue run-flat in amongst them. Those Karoq wheels look fantastic, but I’ll try to make the most of what we have already before investigating that route. Thanks again for your help - much appreciated.
  2. Hi all, Long time lurker - Briskoda has helped enormously with the running of our three Octavia 1.9 TDi’s over around 500k miles. We’ve sadly just got rid of our 2.0 TDi 170 Scirocco as we required more space, and replaced it with a Mk2 Superb estate with the same engine. At 130k miles it feels significantly tighter than the Scirocco did at a similar mileage, but I can’t say it’s as comfy, bizarrely. The Scirocco did have the adjustable suspension that spent it’s entire life with us in “comfort” mode, and it was fantastic, even on 18’s. The Superb feels significantly stiffer, no doubt requiring significantly stronger springs to control the extra mass - the handling certainly belies the cars bulk. The car is fitted with 18” wheels, and currently sits at the standard monster truck ride height. Does anyone have experience of Eibach’s ProLine springs for this model? I believe they’re progressively wound, so would hope they may be a little more supple, and the 30mm drop would be very welcome. Any other suggestions for improving the ride quality would be welcome, but we’re not willing to go any smaller on the wheels - i’m afraid looks are part of the equation, as vain as that may be! Thanks in advance.
