Fading bulbs, that was it. thanks Alasdair

Thank you everyone, that little switch on the door pillar has bugged me for a long time not knowing what it does, click and fingers crossed, the problem seems to have been resolved. I will hoover the sensor next time I'm cleaning the car as well. Fortunately the alarm has never worked( although the lights flash) since I purchased it at 7000miles. Ironically, It it had its MOT yesterday and the only recommendation was to change the front indicator lamps as they were "partially burnt"(my words not the MOT inspectors). Once again thank you everyone who responded it is much appreciated.

When parked at night my car has randomly decided to start flashing all lights as if the alarm has gone off. (fortunately the alarm has never worked) for no apparent reason, the road is quiet and there are no villains around according to my CCTV. How can I lock the car without the alarm?
