Very true . I am in the process of looking at buy-in odis and if I do I will contact Brian and roll back emissions update and reflash his car purely at cost 40-50 . He's a nice guy and I think he thought I was trying to rob him which isn't the case on my part . I'm very level and have Been in motor trade 25 years this year without a bad name to repairs at my garage or tuning issues. I will keep in touch with him when I purchase it. Most people come to me after the update and only pay once to tune it . Brian was unfortunate having just mapped it prior to update so I see his anger fully

Hi mark here from fivestar remapping and diagnostics. The car in question needs an unlock request from master tuner to unlock tuned file to reflash it . This costs. £25 and can be reflashed if the emissions update is rolled back with odis software . I don't have odis as a general rule I don't advise updates by vw after scandals they have had . The other option is to 're read ecu and reflash it with a fresh tuned file which would return this car to original tuned state . I'm not greedy and if I had odis which is 0000's I would have charged him only 25 plus another 25 for travelling to the job and time . Hope this clears up the people who seem to know my job better! Its always nice to see your name rattled on a forum without exact info first.
