Columbus Media options missing

Yep, that’s the same experience, never anything wrong with the car, just the user ! -
Wooduck1 started following Columbus Media options missing
-
My 2013 estate has a fully functioning radio, CD and Sat Nav head unit. But for some time now the only Media option on the selectors is CD The others are greyed out, SD Card, HDD, Aux and Bluetooth. Its a very well speed car so I'm not sure if these were options back when new. Does anyone have any suggestions to determine the cause or recover. I've run the VCDS check and no errors show.

Both front heated seats are not working
Wooduck1 replied to Wooduck1's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Passenger seats out, its clear that the carpet needs lifting to get access to the control unit as its covered by a wiring harness tray. I've deferred for now as the carpets tightly fitted under the surrounding trim. Before I go any further I've rechecked the fuses which seem fine. However in on the last row of the fuses at the side of the dash there is a location 46 which has no fuse fitted, its described as "switch for seat heating" and has a symbol showing information in drivers manual. I've checked but can't find any reference to it. As far a s the autoscan goes's its showing no faults in the log. I've searched to find the module in the scanner which gives more access to the heated seat system but had no joy. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks -

Thanks , thats helpful. I'll have a look again and check visually. -
Now the weather is getting colder the leather on my 2013 Superb Estate CR 170 needs warming up. Neither seat responds to the switches in the dash controller. I've run RossTech diagnostics with the VCDS software but no fault codes appear. The fuses are fine. The left passenger well became damp in the summer when the heater intake was blocked by leaves, this has been fully dried for a few months now. I've taken out both seats but can't see where the controller is positioned. Is there a module to interrogate in the VCDS which may manually test the heaters ? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Poor central alignment on replacement Xenon Headlamp
Wooduck1 replied to Wooduck1's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Having failed its MOT on just the replaced headlamp beam alignment I was feeling quite pleased. So I've aligned the beams using the mechanical adjusters initially and then the hex screws ontop of the lamps. The passenger side is original and required minimal adjustment and has a sharp cutoff and lhs sloping edge. But the replacement pattern lamp assembly from Europarts is proving more difficult. The height setting is ok now, but the lateral alignment appears to be offset to the right and i can't bring it in to the centre. The basic panel and mounting alignment has been checked and is good. Is it normal to have to recode the new headlamp assembly using VCDS before fitting ? -
After successfully repairing my car following a front corner accident last year which required minor welding the car was ready for a test drive. However the front wipers didn't operate so I decided to check all the fuses in the dash and beside the battery. The ignition was off with the keys out, finding no failed fuses the ignition was turned on and the engine stated as normal but now there were many warning lights lit. Before the only light on was the SRS airbag which had not triggered the airbags Also the engine was limited to 2500rpm max whilst stood. Now the glow plug light was on permanently and the engine warmed much quicker than usual and the cooling fans gone into overdrive. I've read the OBD code with simple U208 reader and tried to reset the only DTC which is an ABS code with no luck. The warnings showing in orange are: Exhaust EGR, Steering, Lights, Airbag, ABS, Brakes in red. Have tried a battery disconnect reset but no joy. I used to have access to a Snap On Solus diagnostic PC, but no more, so looking for advice on a reasonably priced unit to diagnose and reset stored codes including SRS and diagnose ABS and brake warnings. Any suggestion gratefully received. The only reason the wipers didn't work was the bonnet lock inhibiting them...

Multiple Warning light and Glow plug on
Wooduck1 replied to Wooduck1's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Sorted with VCDS and researching Briskoda using common Fault Code number to many Sectors " 01316 - ABS Control Module "- no signal / comms . Found a Fabia owner with almost exactly the same Symptoms : ABS warning in yellow Brake warning in red Glow plug yellow flashing Steering warning in red Tyre pressure in yellow Lights warning in yellow Many many fault codes. Suggested reaching fuses Really simple when checking the engine bay fuses again after battery disconnect. F4 powering ABS valves was missing having been refitted in F5 location by another. Cheers for the advice. -

Convert Xenon headlamp setup to Halogen set ?
Wooduck1 replied to Wooduck1's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Kept as standard in the end, matched both sides Xenon setup. I got lucky with Europarts offering a Regen headlamp at a very good price, turned out to be a Hella with minor mounting lug defect. And it doesn't have the Superb inscription. -
Thanks Mully, they look decent, heres my email for the rest of the photo's on the inside of the rims hopefully [email protected]
