  1. Hi all, Could do with a bit of advice please. I've been the proud owner of a 2016 SE 1.2 TSI 90 for just over a year. Suffered no issues and the car has been a little gem. However... After arriving at work yesterday morning I went to get out of the car and the interior door handle snapped clean off in my hands. This meant that I couldn't open the door and hence had to climb over and get out of the passenger side. I called my dealer who said that I should call Skoda Assistance for breakdown as the car is unsafe to drive. Apparently you have to be able to exit the car easily for insurance purposes, and to be honest, I didn't fancy driving a car I couldn't get out of in a hurry if I needed to! I called Skoda Assistance who weren't interested in helping me at all, they said it wasn't important enough to send someone out and If I want someone there would be an extra charge. I was pretty surprised at their response and the lack of good service! With this I decided to call another local dealer who were happy to help me and give me a car to use in the meantime (god send). This morning I have had a call from the service advisor saying that the repair of this is not covered under warranty and hence I would have to pay. I immediately said that I wasn't happy about this, and I am currently awaiting a call from the service manager to discuss it with them. Could do with your opinions on this if possible? Do you agree that it should be covered under warranty? A 1 year old car definitely shouldn't do things like that? Surely? Thanks in advance - pics attached! Dan
