Skoda garage has taken gearbox out as they say something had dried up and needed lubrication. The gearbox was removed under warranty the creaking went for 2-3 weeks then came back and now told it's something I will just have to live with as that is normal. The car has done 18,000 miles.

I have ordered from them a few times and they are quick coming from CZ and all my items have needed to be signed for.

I was wondering if anyone else gets the same creaking noise when you press up and down on the clutch pedal it does it all the time when the engine is on it sometimes does it when the engine is off, but the last few days as soon as you turn the engine off the creaking stops. It can be heard inside the car when in stop start traffic but it is louder outside the car than inside the car.

Hi, will try some steel wool thanks. I will have a go at it after trying to get noise from gearbox/clutch sorted ad At the moment i think i'm more concerned about the noise comimg from clutch/gearbox.

Hi, thanks for info as had a few problems with the car and not had it 10 months and going back in garage again for a gearbox issue again and wondered if I has going to have to include this.

I was replacing my original pedals for VRS pedals and noticed the rust on the lower steering ccolumn where the bar goes behind carpet and wondering if anyone else has the same.

How much do you want to pay for a code reader ? How much do you want the code reader to do ( i.e. functions) and what you want it to cover this will prob reflect in the price. Price's from £10 - £100's

I have an Octavia 2007 VRS and I had the same light come up and after checking my battery I noticed through the little glass it was black instead of green, so as the battery was the original I got a heavy duty one after this was connected all the light went out. Skoda recommend after 6 years replacing the battery. So I saved a lot of money from not finding this out at the garage.

I have brought 5/6 items and only had a problem with one which was a VRS badge as the badge came away from the sticky. I emailed the company and sent a photo of the item and they replied next day and sent a replacement. I reveived the new badge just over a week later and all the items I have brought need a signature on delivery. So yes I would buy from them again. :yes:

My 2007 Octavia VRS was in the garage today to have the CV boot done. I then have received a call saying it needs a new ball joint a while later I had another call telling me my drive shaft is seized so the new CV boot carn't be fitted as the drive shaft will not come out and it now needs a new drive shaft , has anyone else had this problem ?

I have an Octavia VRS 2007 petrol which I had a new air con compressor done at a Skoda garage and it cost just under £700 this includes the initial investigation, parts, re-gas, labour and VAT. Atleast it has the Skoda parts and labour warranty if anything goes wrong.

Hi TB1, It's a 2007 VRS. What I thought strange was as the window was going up, and what ever position the window is in if you move the steering wheel it brings the window straight back down to the fully open position. If the rear window it put up after the drivers window is closed it doesn't do anything and it stays closed and the same, if you don't move the steering wheel the window closes fully.

Hi, Hoping someone can help. A few months ago when I was closing the drivers window on the one touch, my daughter closed the electric rear window on the drivers side just after me and it caused the drivers window to come back on it's own. Last week when I was closing the drivers window on the one touch again I pulled down on the steering wheel and the window came back down again. It has been said it might be the drivers switch pack but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Hi, When it was leaking no as it was dripping to the left side of the pipe which is the opposite side of the cambelt. When it was taken appart at the garage I think they drained it first as I carn't see anything wet on or around the cambelt side of the cover. The garage I go to are very good (Skoda approved).I took my other octavia's there before I got the VRS and I do trust them with the my car. I have never had any problems using them. Hope you get your sorted.

Hi, I have just got my VRS back from the garage today with the same problem. It turned out to be a coolant pipe which runs infront of the cambelt cover. It had a small hole on the underside of the pipe. Which explained the lose of coolant in the header bottle. The pipe was cheap but the labour is not due to the turbo needed to be removed to replace pipe as it runs behind the engine and the pipe will not fit on with the turbo fitted.

Is it all central locking or just driver's door ?

checked dust shields even used an air gun to blow any stone's out even been to the tyre centre a few time's they have removed all stone's but clicking still there. Phoned local Skoda garage's today for price on cv joint's left & right £89.30 each (exchange) but i will be charged £165.68 each.If i take my old one's back I will get the difference of £76.38 refurnd as an insentive to return my old cv joint's. Then i phoned Camberley Auto Factor's they wanted £60.00 each and I will get £10 back on return of each of my old cv joint's. So i think i might as well get them both done for £100 just for peace of mind as the clocking sound has been there for about 2 month's now and driving me mad:mad: unless i keep window's all closed so i carn't hear it.

Hi, can anyone help i have a clicking sound on my Octavia 1.9 TDi Elegance 04 reg which you can only hear when driving, only it stop's when you turn the steering to the right and come's back when the steering straightn's.I have had the tyres checked twice all stone's removed clicking sound still there.Swapped front wheels and back wheel's around clicking still there.When window's are up you can not hear it only when window/window's are open.Checked cv boot's no split's or leak's.PLEASE HELP DRIVING ME MAD !!!!!
