  1. Most of the time I put Shell regular fuel in. Perhaps I should try the other premium diesel offering they have to see if it still does it.
  2. Hi all, I've got a 12 plate Octavia 1.6 TDi. On idle, the engine appears to be "pulsing" - that is it sound like the throttle is being pressed slightly to increase revs, and then drops again. This happens 1 or 2 times a second. It's going for a service soon and I will mention it but I wondered if anybody else had the same issue. Thanks Lee
  3. Had a quick look this afternoon. Each side there's a small piece of plastic with grooved track and stoppers, so when it's closed the latches move to the closed position and locks. I don't think the latches are moving far enough for it to lock. Minor - but annoying!
  4. I know the type of clip you mean - like a little arrow clip, but there isn't one - I think the arms left and right clip in underneath when it's pushed down.
  5. Hi all, Picked up my new (used) 12' Octavia today. Only found one annoying thing so far, and that is the dashboard storage box lid won't stay shut - it keeps flipping open, which is flipping annoying! I've seen the thread on how to revove it, but any ideas why it won't stay shut? I'm assuming there's a spring clip - or something, that keeps it closed. I'm uessing something has become mis-alligned when my Parrot BT was fitted as the LCD is mounted just below the hazard switch. Ideas welcome before I go pulling it around tomorrow. Thanks :-)
  6. Hi all, Not posted in here for ages, but thought I would today! Today - I part exchanged my old Octavia 10 plate for a.....Octavia 12 plate - same 1.6 TDI Elegance model. So here's to another few years of Octavia ownership! BTW - Are there any changes between the 10 plate and 12 plate models? I've noticed a few cosmetics already - I know it's not a full facelift - I'll get that in 2 years time! lol! Lee
  7. Cool - thanks for that. I did a search earlier but didn't find much...helps to use the correct keywords I guess!
  8. Hi, Not posted here for a while - so heloo again. Can anybody here advise what the maximum SDHC card capacity a Bolero unit can handle? Can they handle 32GB SDHC cards ok without any issues? I currently have a 4GB SDHC Class 6 that I use. I know it can handle a 16GB but I'm wondering if a 32GB is ok? Also - any advice on manufacturers to go for - or avoid? Thanks Lee
  9. LOL! OK guys - thanks very much. Just wanted to make sure that it wasn't faulty before a long UK winter sets in.... Saying that, the forcast is for a barmy 28 degrees by the end of the week - in near-October???!!
  10. Hi, I guess these do not work with a face-lifted 10' plate Octavia with new style climate - there's no ECON button on mine so I guess they don't work? Are there any tips / tricks for that model? Cheers Lee
  11. Hi, Sorry - let me just re-phrase what I mean... I'm not talking about the gap - what I mean is that it'll cut / skip / jump (whatever you want to call it) a couple of milliseconds off the start of the actual track!
  12. OK - perhaps you could use those settings above - give it a try and let me know the results?
  13. Hi, When I'm listing to a live concert from the SD card in the Bolero unit, when it advances to the next track, is seams to skip a couple of miliseconds from the start of the track. Same goes for any music on SD card really, but it's more noticable on a live concert as it should be continuous.. I've tried diffrent SD card classes and makes but found no real improvment. Any ideas? Dealer says it's running the latest firmware. Cheers Lee
