  1. Hello Thank you for the advice, I agree. However it also had the facility to read out emails (voice). It is also easier to read emails when parked up and phone is still connected to the car.
  2. Hello I have noticed that I cannot read texts on screen. It used to have a text box which you dabbed and up popped your texts. Also I have a problem with my Samsung J3, I keep getting a message 'Google Play services keeps stopping' you can then click on App info or Close app. I have been online to get rid of this, managed to get everything wrong. Can somebody please help with simple steps. Thanks
  3. I think I get mid to upper 30mpg on mine, with mainly fast A roads. I do like the grunt of the 190 diesel and it tows the van superbly. Does anybody tow a van with the petrol version?
  4. Thanks When I get some free time from work I will go to the fairly local dealers and do as you suggest.
  5. Thanks. Would I notice the difference between 150 and 190 in performance?
  6. Thanks, I am not bothered about the leather. I like the alcantara. Looks like a patient wait for the extras I want (I would also prefer the Audi style dashboard and rear view camera/front parking sensors).
  7. Hello I need your advice. My Kodiaq is coming up for three years old and I am wanting to change. I have the 190SEL 4x4 seven seats with tow bar. I have looked extensively at Kodiaqs but which one? I like: 190 engine, good mixture of economy and pace. Good at towing (except the very small 80Kg nose weight) I got a dedicated towing harness. The DSG box Heated seats Sat Nav Thinking I want: Heated screen Sun roof I like comfort and the gadgets (however I realise that some you will never use (hence my original question-which model and extras) Do not want a model over 40K-do not want to pay more tax. Adaptive chassis? Comfort seats? White (I have this now) and like it. During my trawl I noticed a lot of demo models without the chrome Skoda letter across the boot, an older model? I prefer to buy a demo model with approx. 6K miles. I also looked on sites advertising the Terracco, however noticed the negative comments on build quality and harsher ride. Cheaper price though. Another key point, when is the best time to buy bearing in mind that Kodiaq will be getting less extras in newer builds. Your thoughts will be very welcome and potentially save me a lot of time. Thanks
  8. Hello linni Checked and it is running 8.0.0 Thanks
  9. Thanks linni I tried this, downloading Car Mode and I already had AA. Unfortunately it still would not work, it says device incompatible. I wonder if phone is the problem. Thanks again.
  10. I have tried connecting a Samsung J3 to Android auto but it will not accept it. I also wanted the Mirror facility but this also does not work with this combo. Any suggestions? Thanks
  11. Hi I fitted a Witter fixed towball, dedicated wiring harnass and professionally fitted. All works brilliantly well.
  12. The Ipod classic is ancient, it is the 30GB version.
  13. That has been my next step, transferring Ipod library to an SD card. Tried but being a Luddite got it wrong again, will have to research where I am going wrong.
  14. Thanks thebenb, let me know how it goes.
  15. I hope somebody can help. I have my original 'old school' Ipod classic 30gb with my music on. I have tried for 2 years to connect it to my Kodiaq without any success. The dealer has told me to replace cable, I have and still no result. If I connect it comes up with USB error, I tried an old Ipod touch and this works fine. The dealer has now said that the Ipod Classic is too old to be recognised by the Kodiaq, is this right? Thanks
  16. Hi You could get a Halford's Trade card, I bought an AF 'box set'.
  17. Hello I tow a Bailey Pegasus 534, it is nearly 24ft but the Kodiaq 190 (seven seater) tows it very well. The only bug bear is the 80kg noseweight, trying to achieve that without adding extra weight to the back is hard to achieve. It all depends on the best van layout for you and how many you have to accommodate. Go round a dealers and have a good look inside and out and see which van is best for you, then ask dealer if it is OK for the Kodiaq-they have all the details for towing vehicles matched up to the specific van. Hope that helps.
  18. You are right Wardy. This is the minimum time I get dependant on what I clean the wheels with. FK can last 6-12 months but where you live and milage also has an effect on longevity.
  19. I use FK 1000P for the car and the wheels, lasts a couple of months.
  20. You could try to minimise the damage. Use a QD to moisten damage then lift away. Another suggestion would be a sealant such as Collinite 915 or FK1000p, a couple of layers will last ages and make cleaning your vehicle a little easier (watch the droplets fly off). The tin will last you ages as a thinner layer the better. If not tackled quick enough the bird mess can etch the paintwork. Hope it helps
  21. I have used PBBH on a dark metallic car and due to it being a glaze it masked the fine scratches. To aid longevity I used Collinite 915 or FK100p (sealants that last ages).
  22. Hello I have just taken some photos of mine, hope it helps you choose.
  23. Hello Yes it is the same as the one in the photos. It arrived very tightly packed but after a short time it 'unwound' itself. It is also true that you have to take it out to use the third row of seats. I think it has been very good but I want to give a balanced argument, I put a wheelchair (heavy) in the boot and a small part of the centre section lost its pattern. Now I cover it with a blanket (if using anything sharp. Hope that helps. IB
  24. Hello I bought a rubber protector and I have the 7 seater with spare wheel. I bought it on Ebay, it comes from Germany. I looked at my receipt and it was described as 'Boot Liner Trunk Mat Antislip for Skoda Kodiaq SUV 2017- 7 seats, 3rd row down ' It cost me £27.99 delvered. It has been brilliant. Hope that helps IB
  25. Well tiber it goes in very soon (again) and see what service I get this time. I hope I have the same experience you had.
