  1. Hello, I have some Vega alloys, from a superb, hoping to fit them soon, but just wondering what size tyres I can fit, I was going to go for 235/40/19, but there doesn't seem to be much info out there. Anyone running that?
  2. So they easy to change then? Seen a few on AliExpress and eBay. Probably just buy a new one based on the price
  3. Thanks for your help mate. I pushed it in too hard while trying to attach a satnav holder. I'm useless like
  4. So is there no way to unstick the slats? It's my centre one! If buying a new one is the only way, then so be it! Thanks for the help
  5. No idea what it's called, the adjustable grill style things for your blowers. I managed to break 2 of the panels, trying to put a Satnav on, oops! Anyone know how to fix them? They appear to just be sort of stuck down, anyone experienced this before?
  6. The main issue is the boot. It's rusted from a poor weld joint and the paint cracked, so regardless it's not a chip issue
  7. I'll have to have a look, but the doors rust is right on the bottom left, I don't know how a stone chips could of done it like
  8. Skoda UK got back to me the otherday on the phone and basically said what the dealership told me. No idea where to go from here
  9. Yeah, the Facelifted Mk2 petrol, Engine code CCZA is the engine with the tensioner issue, depending on when a 12 plate was manufactured, it MAY have the lastest tensioner in it, but you'd have to find out.
  10. I should of mentioned that I have been in contact with my local Skoda garage, which is a 2 hour drive away. And they said it needs all the Skoda service stamps. Which it hasn't had since 40k miles. It's a 10 plate.
  11. Hello, I have a MK2 vrs and it has the dreaded boot lid rust and also some on the lower passenger door I noticed last week. I have been quoted X amount to sort the rust at a local body shop place but can't really afford it right now. Anyone know a good way to just keep it at bay for now? Or even a easy way to sort it myself. It's not too bad at the moment but it's got worse from when I bought the car. Thanks
  12. I got a set for 500 posted. Basically brand new off a lad on here last week.
  13. After taking it in a week later, he wasn't to strip it all down and have another look at it. Which isn't really convenient for me at the moment.
  14. its a 2010 octavia. Same part as the one that was taken out but CC now doesn't work. Could be a coding issue, he's taking another look tomorrow
  15. Damn, I'd of thought my mechanic would know this. :(
  16. So i just had my squib changed, i sourced the part myself from ebay, i had it fit by a local mechanic who failed to change my stalks over, and just finished doing so. Its the same part number as just came off it, but for some reason my CC doesn't work now - could it be the new squib? I'm kind of lost as to what to try here. Any help would be appreciated!
  17. I'm thinking of getting some bilstein b3s I think they are, same height as the current ones but probably better than OEM, newer at least. My garage just told me some bearing is on its way out anyway so same labour charge regardless!
  18. You adamant on 1k? And i'm in England, do you know what shipping is to here?
  19. This is good insight, i'm mainly wanting to try them for the look, it looks silly at the moment! Is there upgraded springs to help soften up the ride you think? Not to lower just better springs. I'm actually after genuine rotors or some Xtremes. Look very nice
  20. Hello, Running the standard 18"s with standard ride height at the moment, just wondering if anyone made a switch to 19 inch and what they thought of it. Don't want to really spend a lot of money if its not that great. Any advise is welcome
  21. Good point, the ones i want seem to come in many different fitments, so i'll be wary of this! That is unless i can bag a set of 19" Xtremes, but they seem super rare!
