So ive done some reading and I have a pair ready to fit, found a thread on here but was a bit of contradicting info on there. Are the support bars + wedges necessary to fit, or just the self tapper towards the rear and seal the hell out of them? thanks in advance

I've got a cable coming so once it's here I will get the data. Will also give that check. I realise there's not a great to do without being able to check logs ect

Yeh it's due a service in a few thousand miles so Al bring it forward and get the fuel filter swapped, and also try with the maf unplugged and report back. Thanks for the suggestions

So im having a bit of an issue at the moment, not to sure where to look. If i decide to pin the accelerator a bit (pulling on a motorway slip road or such likes) the car pulls like a train but then sort of holds back goes again and does this through the rev range. 3rd gear is the main culprit sometimes 4th how ever if i dont pin it as such and build the revs a little slower it will happily sail through wihtout an issue. Its an 07 PFL VRS Diesel PD170. Been wondering if maybe giving the EGR a good clean could help, altho starting to wonder if maybe the injector seals to as a bit of reading online seems to point towards these. Its a well looked after car serviced regulary. Any help would be appreciated to give me an idea of where to start looking.

I used the one which came with my dab+ adapter (erisin brand) works really really well had no issues picking stations up

So i recently decided to upgrade all my speakers, purchases some adapter via amazon.....got as far as drilling one of my old speakers out to find they are the wrong size (auto leads ones) after doing alot of reading finding alot of conflicting info on which I actually need, these ones were supposedly for a golf but also fit the octavia seen somebody else also said they have golf ones which fitted perfectly. Not sure if anybody can shed any light on this 07 plate pre facelift Cheers

So been looking to buy an android head unit, think I have finally settled on a joying. Things thats puts me off is if the unit fails posting back to china (cant see this being cheap at all) anybody any suggestions to other manufacturers who maybe are EU bases or even UK based. Also I have vrs, which sort of annoys me with no buttons on the steering wheel for stereo controls, is there any options I can fit which will enable this. Also have the dreaded wind noise, but the fix looks to be to tape the frame work at the bottom of the windows towards the boot direction. Is this correct? only owned the car a few weeks and must say very impressed with the drive and comfort of it, and shifts well enough for a big diesel motor Thanks in advance guys
