Morning all, just wondering where I can find a Load sensor wire as I have no battery light on ignition. Also wondering if this can cause a misfire ? As my engine runs terrible on cold start under low revs 1.9 SDI 2002

Just wondering noticed my clutch is going when it is pushed hard it does slip, however I mainly just potter around low revs nothing daft, anyway on idle my clutch sounds like it’s chattering. Anyone know how much it will be to replace ? I will get my own parts tbf know a guy who has a VAG spares shop

Evening all, just noticed a clunk when doing a parallel park when going from one lock to another no play on steering or juddering at speed. An advisory on the MOT was boots to be replaced on the TRE thinking the salt may have totally damaged it causing the clunk. Let me know what you think, cheers guys!!

Hi Guys, Since I cant afford VRS wheels (unless someone has a sweet deal) I was thinking about refurbishing my steel wheels as the salty roads are causing a few specs of rust. I live in a city flat so my space is limited, I was thinking is it possible to do it with wheels still on the car and maybe apply hammerite or is it better doing it off car on a bench. Also any recommendations for hard wearing paint would be great Cheers Guys !!

Hi guys, could this his problem be leading to poor fuel economy or could it still be weather related ... temp gauge seems a little different to normal just done my 25 min commute and temp reached optimal temp then after a bit of city driving it has began to drop

Hi guys, no issues I think it may be just the outside temp and sitting in traffic combined together. No parts replaced, just done the rear shoes and new release springs nice to have a handbrake that means I don’t roll down a hill

Thanks guys, I will see how it is on way home today. I’m assuming a thermostat change is difficult? I will let you know how I go on the way home. Is there a risk that the engine could over heat, I’ll just take it slow on the way back incase?

Morning guys, just drove I’ve to work in my SDI. Each trip is around 20 min or so. Today I’ve noticed my temp gauge reaching middle, then drop then go back up. Could this be standing in traffic 5 min and a combination of having heaters on full? Only noticed about a 5 mile drop on MPG but it is 3 degrees cheers

Evening all, I was defrosting my car in the usual way, and my car was steaming up a tad so I decided to open both passenger and drivers window a crack. Except the passengers went all the ways down and moves up maybe a few inches from the bottom but won’t even come up even with some brute force, is there a easy fix just to get it shut I’m not bothered if it is broken I just want it shut cheers, alex

Morning Guys, Just started to notice mainly in these cold conditions my 2002 1.9 SDI is very chattery and lumpy when in gear 1/2 doing 5/10 mph then it just goes away. Could this be down to the cold weather, OR is it related to my clutch, at the moment it is a little high on the pedal and thinking It is a job worth doing soon possibly in the next few month (any clutch kit recommendations would be welcomed). 1.9 SDI Comfort - Not Sure If it has a DMF tho ... Cheers, Alex

Skoda Fabia - flat battery and no power steering
Aleskoda replied to aaydjrlb's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
How’ve Skoda gotten away with making such an important sensor with barely any protection lol -
Alright yea, suppose it’s only a couple of quid difference you had much experience with main dealers, would they sell them at much different prices
