  1. Hello. I need to decide by tomorrow whether to go ahead with a lease on a hybrid hatchback. Dealer tells me the car needs servicing every 12 months or 10k miles, whichever comes first and is encouraging me to get a servicing and maintenance add-on for £12pm. It's a 3 year deal. Is it true about the frequency of the servicing? If so then I guess the add on makes sense as it will be cheaper then paying for three individual services. Also, can anyone summarise all the negativity about this car? Not had a chance to read the threads here properly and I need to make a decision in less than 24 hours! Thanks
  2. Yes but good luck trying to get a service slot, especially one where they'll come out and collect it from you anytime soon.
  3. Hello guys, wondering if anyone has suggestions for what else could cause this warning light and sound to come on everytime the car is started up? The coolant level is fine, and has been topped up as a precaution regardless. Would this issue be covered by warranty - car is on a PCH lease and is only 2 years old. In addition, is this something that a leasing company (or their preferred disposal/auction partner) would have an issue with when the lease expires? EDIT: lease expires in just a few weeks, hence wondering what the consequences (if any) for not getting this rectified.
  4. Sorry, probably been asked before but I'm in a rush and couldn't see anything on first page of search results. I have had my leased VRS for 11 months. Done about 8k miles thus far. When is the first service due please? Am I obligated to have the service done at a Skoda dealership? Thanks.
  5. Thanks guys. I feel the tyres that came with this car are weak. I lightly clipped a bollard - the wheel is undamaged and yet the tyre got easily punctured. Should I be replacing it like for like, or is there a better tyre anyone can recommend?
  6. Just ended up damaging a tyre. Obviously the warning light has come on. If I get a local tyre garage to replace the tyre, is there anything they or I need to be aware of? I actually have no idea how a tyre pressure monitor works and don't know if there is a cable or something that has to be connected to the tyre, or if something has to be reset or calibrated after. Pirelli p zero 225/35/19 88y Thanks.
  7. So this is intentional? I don't get why it comes and goes when I'm on the motorway
  8. Talking about the wide beige smudge covering the top couple of centimetres of the display from time to time, particularly when I'm driving on a motorway.
  9. VRS245. Now and again I get this mark across the top of the display. Only seem to notice it on motorways. Anyone know any more?
  10. In the 6 days that I owned my vrs 245, I was unable to determine what difference the DCC was making. Anyone else similarly underwhelmed and wondering what they'd paid for exactly? Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
  11. After an eight month wait, my black beauty finally arrived. And then 6 days later, a hit and run driver slammed into the back of it :( FML.
  12. Wow, hundreds of posts since I last looked in here. Just been given build week 18 by the dealership. Anyone know when I can realistically expect to take delivery.
  13. Mate that is far far more expensive than the vrs 245 leasing deals that many of us have gone for, so it's not really a good comparison.
  14. How can one tell the difference externally between a genuine 245 and a vrs with upgrades? Doesn't have a special badge does it?
