  1. Well thought I would do an update on my Skoda Superb 4 x 4 estate with the issue of the clutch vibrating when depressed it turns out that the dual mass flywheel was in fact walked and had about 7 to 8 mm of movement and play it was then removed and replaced with in l u k clutch and flywheel dual mass obviously and now feels much better and I am also glad that the old clutch has been removed so I don't have to worry about the Sachs clutch going pear-shaped hopefully this will future-proof the car now as it cost around about £900 to do all of the work including labour as removing the 4 x 4 system added more time than first thought I am however extremely happy that this has been carried out as the car was practically undriveable before and extremely irritating it's very strange that it came on so fast as it seem to drive perfect for the first three to four weeks but then became extremely hard to drive in the last 40 miles due to vibration and pulsing through the clutch pedal as mentioned above however there is still a very slight vibration through the clutch so it is obviously something that is always there but it's nowhere near as bad
  2. My mpg got better when I had the roll back done. Takes 10 mins and I'm back months original map again. I average 47ish mpg my roads are pretty rough and coarse that mpg goes up a lot on the smooth A1 and it runs nice and smooth.
  3. Thanks mate LOVE it...and now it's snowing so will be drifting the 4x4 about the work carpark later lol
  4. Ok so I have read all this and I am currently having clutch wobble vibration on my superb mk2 2.0 tdi cr 4x4...... I see it seems to be the 140bhp though, it this pressure plate issue sachs clutch the same on the 170bhp? Thanks for any response guys Engine code CFGB Transmission is code KXY
  5. Update just done a tank to tank fill up and can now confirm i averaged 44mpg which seems to be bang on for a combined mpg on my car being manual 4x4 2.0 cr estate so that's good but not the 51mpg the computer was showing me over the 470 miles. Doing another to confirm.
  6. Just to add further If I start the car and gently press the clutch I can feel a very minor tapping or wobble like a buckled bike wheel is pushing the pedal making it wobble it's only minor though. If I drive it normally and take my foot completely off the accelerator then change gear I can't hardly feel it. But I was gently resting my foot on the clutch last week about to change gear and felt it now I'm noticing it more as I'm consious of it. Don't get me wrong I don't ride the clutch or rest my foot on it normally it was just the traffic and gear changed that made me first notice it.
  7. Posted this in General and was advised to post it here to see if anyone else has the same thing. Have read some things similar but not sure if it is the nature of this car or the DMF is warped or damaged. Spoke to a garage (not VAG) and the head mechanic did not drive it but told me he has an octavia VRS diesel that does the same thing? And that it was not an issue until it started to bother me and they could then look at changing it? Is that true? Have had the car a month now and love it, have a 2010 2.0 tdi cr 4x4 skoda superb the issue seems to be when in gear and accelerating when I depress the clutch to change gear I get a wobbling buzzing feeling thought the peddle on the first inch of movement. If I put it in neutral it's fine. It only seems to be there when accelerating under load then pressing the clutch in. Please advise if this is a serious issue or not as it's worrying me a bit at the moment. Full Main Dealer History 75k Engine Code CFGB Trans Code KXY Seems to drive fine, drones when accelerating but could just be the nature of the engine, no shaking or anything that i can tell while driving, clutch does not feel odd at all normally just when pressing as accelerating up through the gears on the first inch, if I accelerate under load it feels worse if I press it as in riding the clutch the first inch (don't ride it usually) just as an example.
  8. Hi the engine code appears to be CFGB The gearbox code is KXY What does that mean buddy?
  9. Car drives sweet nice and smooth has a full skoda service history. Just this strange buzzing/wobble type shake when in gear depressing the clutch and accelerating upwards to change gear. Basically while under load. Any idea and is it safe do you Think?
  10. Have had the car a month now and love it, have a 2.0 tdi cr 4x4 skoda superb the issue seems to be when in gear and accelerating when I depress the clutch to change gear I get a wobbling buzzing feeling thought the peddle on the first inch of movement. If I put it in nuteral it's fine. It only seems to be there when accelerating under load then pressing the clutch in. Please advise if this is a serious issue or not as it's worrying me a bit at the moment.
  11. Hey buddy so your saying your economy reduced? That's odd !? You will have better readings than me as I don't have a clue about regens and not following that part buddy
  12. Will do. They can do them absolutly any colour you like, right down to a textured splatter finish lol I went for a standard anthrocite dark silver as the car is dark and wanted it to look nice and modern as lots of cars these days are going down the darker theme. I'll post up some pics once they are done, one wheel had a slight buckle very minor but that's all sorted. They will be a lot better afterwards, properly acid stripped stuffs removed then the relevant coatings.
  13. No it's nothing like that. The update was voluntary from VW but in some cases they just performed it on cars as a matter of routine. All shark did for me was to simply put all the settings of the ecu back to the way they were before VW GROUP did their emissions fix. It's like saying did I contact my insurance when vw did the fix, and robbed me of reliability mpg and possibly a few ponies? No I didn't. I just put it back to bog standard buddy. Still annoyed Skoda wouldn't roll it back seeing as it wasn't asked for, I even said keep the 2yr warranty just want it removed. They said it can't be done now. Another lie..... 15 minutes parked up at shark and it's a done deal. 5 clicks of a laptop. It's a shame really that they won't just be straight after all they have done to customers cars. Thanks again to tuners like shark. Some places round near me are scare mongering and quoting £200+ for the same work.
  14. Yea saw that when i posted the question. Thanks buddy. Should have proof read it lol was banging it out on the mobile then shot home read it again and saw all the grammar and mistakes lol Hopefully get the Jist
