  1. Also I find the science interesting. You all say it can't work due to scientific and engineering principles but science and engineering experts build on principles. If the hydrogen changes the way the fuel burns it not about the power gains of just burning the hydrogen. Modern engine designs are always changing to improve the combustion. From the atomisation of fuel before combustion (all injected fuel) to changing the angle of air flow within the manifold and onto the valve with little flaps (vw fsi engine) and all the other tweaks we non engineer and science peeps just don't know about. I like to trust what I see rather than what I haven't seen yet.
  2. But yet (from what I've seen with my own eyes) it does work (emissions only, I have no experience with fuel economy). Also interesting on going data from the one guy (forget who now) who has fitted it to his car. Look forward to latest figures as so far people here have explained away his fuel gains with the cold fuel temperature. Don't think that will be a good argument after the weather we've been having! Now turned off notifications so I can get some sleep. Thanks for thinking of me!
  3. Any chance you guys can give it a rest now? My inbox is so full of irrelevant comments i don’t have time to look through them all. The original question was does anyone know if it works. The answer to that question was no! And every comment from them on has been :- if you have anything positive to say we are not interested because we have already made up our mind. The only people who have experience with ezero say it works. The only people who say it doesn’t work, have no experience with it. Thats all. I look forward to your abusive reply’s. :-)
  4. So Unprogrammed. You read every post and then thought you'd post something positive about ezero. WHY? Lol.
  5. Thanks again for ongoing data burntcrisps. Could you remind me when you fitted cgon again? I remember it was half way through a tank. Also , what does the black line represent?
  6. Not one word of that made any sense mate! Emission limits are changing for both cars with, and without DPF. The limits are on metered smoke not visible smoke (unless it’s pre 1978 or something). New test equipment is needed unless your machine is pretty new (or do you know something that vosa doesn’t which will save us £8000?). And your last paragraph????? Are you implying that every car fitted with dpf and egr will pass it’s mot? Lol.
  7. Makes sense that they should push it now if the mot regs change. From what I've seen, it could be a permanent fix for a smokey car that's cheaper than having the injectors/pump replaced. Still expensive enough to be not worth it for a lot of failures though. They are going to be doing some advertising soon, and if successful I would expect to see some chatter either way as to its effectiveness (bearing in mind that only people who haven't seen one are criticising it so far). They sent an email out to all their fitters asking if any customers had a 4 to 8 year old navara they could do a fit on and film it for the advert. I thought this interesting as they asked for one which was already smokey. If they want to demonstrate its affectiveness I thought they would want to use a vehicle which didn't have a dpf fitted. Anyway, if people don't like it I'm sure we will hear pleanty soon enough!
  8. Thanks burntcrisps for ongoing data. It's useful to me. So that's about a 6% gain on your best of last 2 years (discounting last tank). Not too bad. Now could you do me a quick favour and drive to Scotland and back, 8 times at exactly 55 mph? That would be really useful data. I'll give you a fiver towards fuel. :-)
  9. Good man. Look forward to your updates. Thank you!
  10. Only the 2nd professional that I’m aware of and neither of us has made any claims about fuel economy. This is simply the only independent place that people are talking about it. I’m trying to establish if this product is any good and worth recommending to customers. I don’t appreciate the tone used here from people who haven’t and have no intention of fitting one. Your basically scaring off anyone who has anything good to say about it (interestingly, the people who have fitted it) leaving the rest of the people in this thread with no real life info. I am interested in any results people who have fitted one have to share, good or bad.
  11. Hey shaynec. Sound like we are on the same page here. Cgon tell me you can pull the fuse without losing the settings, so that would be interesting. Test emissions, pull fuse, drive a few miles and retest. Nice one.
  12. Well I found that interesting burntcrisps. I’ve seen the positive impact on emissions but have no way of checking mpg. Despite the negative feed back you are getting, I look forward to seeing what you get at the end of this tank of fuel and the next one. Please share!
  13. Perhaps you could ask cgon directly if they might fit one to someone’s car for free. Also draw their attention to this rather long discussion.
  14. Not really. You don’t know where I work so you can’t give me any money. As I said earlier in the thread, the profit margin is not good anyway.
  15. Aspen. This is the only forum talking about cgon. I first came here to research a product before agreeing to fit one but no one here had fitted one. After fitting one I joined the forum and posted my findings. Only trying to be helpful. Nothing for you to be suspicious about. If you don’t want one, don’t buy one. Why would I care either way?
  16. This is what I’m trying say! i did the Italian tune up before my pre test and did less of one before my post test. I can’t run a tank of fuel through it because it isn’t my car but the other chap posting has. I don’t know if he did pre and post tests???
  17. Hey chimaera. The hard drive part of installation is simply 20 seconds. Full rpm through 1st and 2nd gears. It’s simply to get the full range of voltage from the MAF sensor and certainly won’t improve fuel economy or reduce emissions. I think your referring to my pre and post testing, and I can assure you that the engine was very hot and revved hard several times before I did my pre test. My test results were accurate to the best of the ability of the MOT spec emissions tester I used.
  18. Hey wino. As I remember, the wire to the MAF is just a trigger so the unit knows the car is running. It can be wired up to anything that the voltage changes with rpm or engine load (MAP is also good). To fit to a really old car you would probably need to phone them for advise.
  19. Hi guys. So the ingredients just state less than 1% potassium hydroxide. That’s it? Also, reading the info, the system runs on just 2 amps of current and it also states that this will not affect the manufacturer warranty. Hope that helps the scientists out there!
  20. Thanks Mac, makes me feel better. I'm not tech savvy and this is the first time I've posted on any forum ever! Didn't realise how it worked. Lol. I didn't honestly look at the pack of fluid, just poured it in. I'll have a look at it on Monday. When programming it you need to set the min and max flow rates but, tbh, it looked like nonsense as the values you enter are just the same as the engine size. The unit has a built in wifi thingy so you select the cgon wifi on your phone then log in through safari. Enter vehicle details (I don't know why, I can't see it makes any difference) then drive car HARD in 1st and 2nd gear so the full MAF range can be learned. The gas flow rate is displayed on your phone but they are just numbers not units of measurement. I have many questions and things I don't understand about this product (the main one is if the hydrogen creates a fasted, cooler more complete burn giving you increased fuel economy, why do you not also get more power? As told me by cgon.) but based on this one emission result I have to conclude that this tech is real. I look forward to fitting another one to see how that one does! it is unfortunate that any fuel claims will take months to verify via my customers! maybe I'll repost with the contents of the electrolyte on Monday.
  21. Hey wino. Yes, a pain. Yes, a fuse by the battery and a 19mm hole has to be drilled into the air intake pipe after the MAF sensor but before the turbo. Everything needs to be kept away from heat as much as poss. The supply pipe internal diameter is maybe 12mm. Also you need to wire a trigger wire to the signal wire of the MAF sensor so it knows how much gas to produce.
  22. Alright guys. I didn't really want to get a load of s##t of you all! I don't know anything of thermal dynamics or chemistry! Just thought I'd post what I'd found since no one on here has actually tried it.
  23. The battery on the mercy is in the boot so I had to wire it to the maintenance battery or whatever you want to call it, which is down under some trim panels by the bulk head. You can use any computer or mobile phone with wifi to communicate with the unit and I have no idea if it would lose its settings or not. Really wasn't in the mood to waste more time on it.
  24. Your most probably right. My chemistry isn't great and the smoke meter doesn't actually say the units of measurement, just the number. Unplugging it and plugging it back in would be a bit of pain as it took me an hour to set it up (you have to program the unit to the car) and I thought the results were fairly conclusive! Also, by this point I had the customer sitting on my shoulder and a load of other work to get on with. I think this cgon thing will never be a great business move for garages as the returns aren't great for the time it takes! i was interested in this thread because I wanted to know if cgon was a load of horse s##t before mentioning it to customers but realised no one here had tried it, so I thought I'd share what little experience I have. Also, where do you buy snake oil and what do you do with it? :-)
  25. No, not HC. For MOT on diesels the smoke tester only tests the density of smoke not what the smoke consists of. I hear a rumour that that may be changing soon or at least, we won't be able to use our exsisting smoke meters.
