I have the dash computer set to display average mpg, and that’s what it was reading when I got home...

Good morning fellow Roomster owners. I have recently bought a 1.4TDi which stood unused for the best part of a year. There is a rumbling/knocking noise/vibration which varies with road speed, so I’m assuming the wheel bearings are on their way out... Having looked on the websites of Euro Car Parts & Andrew Page, the images of the bearings look as though they are integral with the hub flange that the disc & wheel bolt on to. Am I right? If so, it’ll save some time on the dismantling, before I have a chat with my local mechanic, and cross his palm with silver...

Hi everyone. I’ve been driving my Škoda Roomster for about 3 weeks now, which I bought off my Mum, who has decided to stop driving. Having owned a VW in the past, I was aware of the high standard of engineering and comfort, however my new car has blown me away with its comfort, visibility and above all, it’s MPG! I recently drove my nephew to Chepstow to start a new job, and “Captain Holly” returned an average of 59 Miles to the gallon!
