  1. Thank you for your reply.. it’s a basic on/off system. I had it regassed last summer so was pretty sure that was not the issue...but let myself get talked into doing it again! of course we are heading into a heatwave so I’ll struggle to book car in anywhere but want to avoid more wasted work
  2. My air con is not working. It’s been re-gassed even though I knew it wasn’t the issue. I get some cool air while driving but once I’m stationary it blows warm. It doesn’t seem to be blowing with any force either, I have to turn it up to max to get any decent stream of air. Also, the warning light for over heating engine comes on, but plenty of coolant. Any ideas so I can be prepared when I go back to mechanic
  3. well I have survived this far listening to instructions from the phone speaker so I guess I can't complain. Looks like I will be tucking the useless Garmin away until the day I sell the car on!
  4. WaveyDavey you are a star...i shall look into this asap in daylight hours!
  5. Thanks Wavedavey.......but what is the HU? sorry I am not very techy so you might need to tell me how to switch HU to Aux as well.
  6. I would like to do this in reverse.....my 2016 citigo has a Garmin sat nav PID and I want to use my i=phone somehow, is this possible?
  7. I just picked up a 2016 Citigo today and am loving everything about it so far...apart from the PID. I gave up on dedicated sat nav units several years ago and happily use google maps on my i-phone so am rather stumped by the PID which seems to be a useless clunky thing to me...or am I missing something? I have no intention of paying the silly amounts they want for map updates and living in east London I would not dream of leaving any device plugged in on permanent display, nor do I want to go back to lugging an extra device around with me in my handbag. Is there a sensible way to use my phone and google in the car? any kind of adapter so I can use the mount and avoid charging wires cluttering the dash?
