I think you mean a higher current. The contamination is more likely to be on the Connections and not the Contacts. There is a difference between a Switch and a Sensor, a Sensor will be variable analogue output and the output will be monitored (4-20mA or 0.5-4.5v) and parameters will be set to determine position. The Switch or Sensor will be sealed to at least IP65, submerging it won’t help the internals. VAG ECU inputs have a whetting current that ensures a current larger than the minimum recommended switch rating is passed through the Switch. I’d also guess that this is a SiL2 rated assembly and replacing the Switch or Sensor outside of an assembly line with verification equipment cannot guarantee the Safety Integrity Level of the repaired assembly.

I had an 02 Primera, did 50,000 mls and Brakes were starting to feel less capable. Bolands had an offer on of Pads and Discs for Eur200 or something, I dropped it off for the day and at 4pm I went back to collect, had a bill for Eur59 as all that needed doing was clean and grease - I'd been driving the car in the UK a lot and the IE spec of car differed to the UK spec in corrosion resistance and there's not much Salt on Irish roads which had caused them to start to corrode, pads were only 30% worn probably due to the journey from Holyhead to the Midlands across SashaGrace country not needing much brake application! Bolands are a decent family business in my opinion.

Don't use the OBD port. Its not what its designed for. If you want a Power managed system go with the Power Magic, if you want to run off an Ignition Switched supply or Battery Permanent then piggy back at the fuse box - loads of information if you search on here. I'd avoid Halfords touching my car like the plague. Don't worry about routing around the A Pillar Airbags, it is quite clear and easy to do with the correct trim removal tools.

Soldered terminals in an Automotive installation? In the late 90s and 00s I worked in an Automotive and Off Highway Wiring Harness manufacturer and there were never any solder terminals used - this included specific sub-assemblies for Air-Bags and Seat Belt pre-tensioners made by Sekuron and TRW among others. High quality crimps and specialised cable into unique housings with Terminal Position Assurance and Connector Locks were the order of the day.

Word of warning regarding the A Pillar routing, if you have Curtain Airbags in the A Pillar make sure you are routing the cable close to the body and not between the Airbag and the Trim as this could impede the deployment of the Airbag. Route it and clip it securely away, this also prevents rattle from loose cables against the A Pillar trim. This applies to Cameras and anything else that has cables you want to install in the A Pillar area.

The Pressure sensors are differential pressure sensors usually so require 2 connections.

I’d say 20 miles is about average, my 230 had 17 when I collected it - I knew the compound and PDI were 3 or 4 miles away from the showroom.

The low fuel level light on my 2018 Petrol comes on and tells me I’ve 50 miles range left. I’ve gone down to 0 and beyond and put 52 litres in.

I think it’s more to do with Car colour, I mocked up Race Blue with Black Grill surround and Mirror Caps on Photoshop and didn’t like it - Chrome Grill surround and body colour caps stayed on mine.

So, been a while since I’ve been on Brisky, work and life got in the way, but I can report the Car has been flawless - just love driving it. I’m past my agreed mileage by almost 2k (0.04p/mile) with 8 months left on my PCH. Just arrived in Dunoon for a week for a Staycation and then heading down to Amble next weekend for 5-6 days. Journey up today was brilliant, can’t argue with these figures for the journey. Cruise used wherever possible set between 74 and 82 (GPS read 70/71 and 79 actual) up the M1/M18/A1M/A66/M6/A74 until the fun stopped around Port Glasgow.

Had a Manual QQ Diesel for 3 years - never had a problem with the Electric Parking Brake.

Coasting in Neutral to improve economy? You won't be utilising any Engine braking and the Engine will be running idle under no-load until you engage the Transmission again, there will be a sudden demand for combustion power which is not a great idea, was never taught to me during my normal or Advanced driving course. Hope you sort it out but I doubt there is a problem with the car.
