Had to use a scraper just last week, heard that demon stuff being advertised on the radio.

I live in Scotland lol, every day is cold up here. My old Fabia was fine last year, just used a scraper where required, doors opened fine on it.

So all ready for some wintry fun. No need for the fix. Tank filled up - No Tyre pressures done -check later +2 psi. Coolant/Anti-freeze done. Nice clean dry air filter in and fuel filter - nope. Screen wash and de-icer bought. Don't use de-icer, bad for the rubber on wipers. Screenwash is topped up and 2l bottle ready mixed in boot. Door seals sprayed with silicone spray, door locks ok.
