Well that could be a fault on your car as it’s never happened to me BUT I usually use ACC and vary rarely use Speed Limiter mode.

Depends on how you drive. If it’s mostly motorway it will do more than the 6000 shown anyway. when we picked up our Mk3 150 dsg estate it showed 6500 miles on the adblue level but it was just over 8500 miles before it was topped up dont worry you get audio and visual notifications when it gets down to 1500 miles

It’s not a Fault in your system just a quirk. My superb Mk3 does the same. It’s almost like the system wasn’t designed to take that into account. out of curiosity did you cancel you right indicator? So long as the indicator is on I’ve noticed it continues accelerating. When the ACC is on i now only use the “3-flash” function of the indicators (by pushing the stalk but so it doesn’t click into place) and also use a left indicator as that sometimes makes the ACC cancel the original manoeuvre.

I have a estate and to get my bike in i still have to lower a seat and you won’t get it in with the wheels on stood up. we went with a factory swivel away tow bar as we had a factory removable tow bar on our mk2 superb estate for our tow bar mounted bike rack. Expensive but worth it for ease of use.

As above - tell them they can either negotiate with Skoda UK for the vehicle at the original agreed cost OR advise them you would be willing to wait for the correct spec but would need a car in the meantime...

Love the look but not my kind of bike really :-) If the Price v Spec is good I can see it selling well...

I’ve also come across this occasionally on March 18 manufactured MK3 Superb. Hasn’t happened for a while now but when it did it was same symptoms as the other posters so back to dealer when it happens again!

Ive already been looking at this as I had the same thought Im more bothered about the Hazard Perception bit as it isnt something i had to do in 2001 when i passed my car test... I dont have much option as they dont do M/C tests at Doncaster so closest is either Rotherham or Scunthorpe. So Ill be on unfamiliar roads anyway I do fancy a 1000 but it was price more than anything althoughni know they currently have a 0% offer on new bikes but didnt really think brand new would be great when i dropped it... I will see if i get that experience when i ask forna test ride... Definitely havent decided 100% yet :-)

Ive looked at tracers (both the 700 & 900) and im not 100% sure i like the look of them. J&S doncaster is the local Suzuki and Kawasaki main dealer, and we also have a Main Triumph dealer locally also. Obviously theres also a couple of independents around the area. I really fancy a BMW but a bit expensive for me. Ill bear it in mind about spoked wheels...any reason why I shouldnt go for them if not off roading (doubt ill be going further off road than a light gravel farm track if we camp if touring)

I’m in Doncaster so quite central to most bike places around the Yorkshire area and we have a J&S locally who have been very good when ive been in looking at gear etc. Not looking to get started until the new year but I am looking forward to it... and I'm hoping that learning to ride a bike might have a side effect of improving my normal driving too. I havent pinned myself down to a specific bike but something with wind protection and relatively upright position so thats why ive gone adventure style. Obviously cost plays a part too!

I know this thread is a bit old now but I’ve just had a read of it and Johns plan was much the same as mine in early 2019 and for the same reasons. Being in Yorkshire we’ve a good selection of dealers around. Once I’ve passed I’ll be looking at Tigers and Versys’ (though the Tiger 800 and Versys 650s instead of big engine bikes). After getting some advice from a biker mate as I’m 6’1 and 130kgs he’s suggested something larger than a 300cc due to the physically small size of the smaller engined bikes. I’ve decided on 2nd hand when it’s time to purchase.

I don't mind either the Skoda SatNav (on the Columbus) or Waze/Google Maps using Apple CarPlay. I only normally use CarPlay for Phone/Music but have used it in the car with Waze and Google Maps, and found it acceptable. Much better than Apple Maps, which is absolutely useless. The Skoda SatNav isn't always excellent, and tries to re-route too often if there's traffic ahead, but it has always got me to the destination safely, which is what counts! Mine is using the Firmware out of the factory, and hasn't had any map updates yet, which I should get around to doing soon!

My Superb II had the Cats-Eyes above the gear-lever AND the configurable footwell lights. The Superb III only has the footwell lights, and I agree the cats-eyes were better (I had red ones on my 2003 Audi A6 which were ace). On the OPs original issue, could it be a fault on the Start/Stop button? As surely the switch is the same as removing a key? Weird if it isn't the same. Workaround = open door before grabbing "stuff"

This happened to me while keys were in my jeans (side) pocket...due to pressure of my leg against keys. I now take them out of my pocket before I sit down (and I was lucky...it didn't rain :))

I would ask the dealer what % worn they were at the service as they should have noted it even if they didn’t provide a warning
