  1. It’s the clutch 😤 £1500 for both and reprogramming so it’s gone unfortunately selling it as a whole or in parts
  2. Checked my vin number and it says no recall due can’t check for the sticker as car not near me, garage thinks it’s electrical fault and apperently the gearbox control unit can malfunction or break so possibly is that? Which can be sent away to be tested and rebuilt with life time warranty
  3. Sorry yes it’s the fabia mk2 vrs, partner was driving it to work and started not going anywhere out hazards on then was fine then same again then got to work to reverse slightly up a hill to park and it wouldn’t budge, it had full service cambelt and water pump 4 months back but couldn’t fork out for the oil change in the gearbox at the time, I fell asleep and had been on nights and she got a garage to come fetch it, it drove out the car park but struggled massively! Heads a shed thinking about the costs of this!
  4. Car suddenly won’t reverse at all, what’s the odds a gearbox oil change will fix it? If not what could be the issue 😬
  5. if you were female id make sweet love to you, you don't know how much youve helped me, I've spent hundreds and it was a simple fuse!!!!
  6. Thanks for this mate, would a sudden loss of most coolant and not drips over a long period still mean it could be the supercharger clutch? I’m hoping that’s all it is
  7. Sorry I’m advance but want to cover everything, so 24/7/20 noticed where my car usually is parked a large what I thought seemed to be oil leak, had to rush out and no light on dash, when driving I got a warning light for my coolant on the dash, pulled over and was below minimum but still the tank was half full, so knew I had a leak hence where I had it parked and the warning, did above national speed limit and was fine no boost problems. Got to work then went to the shop, engine light on and wouldn’t let me take it above 3k revs. I got these alarm codes in the pictures Provided and one is obviously the boost problem, I could see coolant flicking out above the pulley for the engine but couldn’t see where it was coming from, and also thought I could hear air escaping from behind the engine! Totally at a loss tbh, any ideas or anyone been through similar?
  8. Not sure where you get your parts from but I got a code for Euro car parts and it cost me £110 for 4 ignition coils and 4 plugs. Which I thought was pretty decent. One was like the Photo above and the other 3 had a buildup of a sort of limescale like the photo below, top image but not as bad as that! Let me know how you get on, if you haven’t done it before you’ll have to remove some pipes to get acesss to number 1 as it’s impossible without doing so!
  9. @roaddetectivethank you! @Skoffski can it be fatal for an engine if that happens? I’m literally clueless on most things car related but I can pick stuff up easily hence changing the plugs and ignition coils. Why do people advertise a tool for removing those and say that you need one? I literally prized up under the wire harness and pulled up on top of the coil with grips! Number 1,3 and 4 were looking like they had limescale obviously not that but looked similar then that one in the photo which was the 2nd one. Going to replace the oil and oil filter and air filter but was wondering if they’re was anything else I need to do!
  10. Wondered why the car was misfiring so thought I’d change both the plugs and ignition coils and found this! Any way of getting the snapped part out from inside the engine? Was also some missing ceramic also! Apart from oil, oil filter air filter spark plugs what other bits require a service? Car is now running perfect again! cars done 78,000 and as I’m aware nothing major has been done so far!
  11. @Offski so the sidelights are actually your drls? and yes @Kobayashi he must of thought they have always worked! just baffles me that they've even gone to the extent of putting false wires in also. very annoying but kind of glad I know what I'm faced with now!
  12. There’s legit wires to the bulbs tho? So which is my side lights then?
  13. There is a thread for this subject already but it’s confusing with so many people commenting. Car just failed mot because of HID kit installed and apparently no side lights working. (Ones in the head light unit) the bottom drls come on when I start the car up and stay on constantly but no sidelights. I can’t get the bulbs to work what so ever. It’s really starting to irritate me. DA60WUE. If the owner is in this forum please please enlighten me
  14. Sorry should’ve said lol, fabia vrs mk2, I had the car in winter and always play music but recently I’ve had all the windows down so not sure if I’ve just started hearing it or somethings wrong, it doesn’t always make that noise I think I’m just being paranoid lol
  15. It’s a brand new part don’t know if that makes it any better? It’s impossible to find one for the side I need!
