  1. I've searched and searched the forum for an answer but I'm struggling. Basically my front passenger door wont unlock from the remote or the drivers lock mechanism. If i pull the passenger door handle from inside the car, the lock pin pops up and then goes down when i release the handle. I ran a scan through VCDS and it came up with the following: 00929 - Locking Module for Central Locking; Front Passenger Side (F221) 27-00 - Implausible Signal 00930 - Locking Module for Central Locking; Rear Left (F222) 27-00 - Implausible Signal 00931 - Locking Module for Central Locking; Rear Right (F223) 27-00 - Implausible Signal The rear doors are fine. Do we think this is a microswitch problem, central convenience module problem or something else? Any help is much appreciated, thanks.
  2. Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. I’m guessing normal steels will go over the rear brakes? Just need to find some for the front. The car only has to sit on them on my drive. I can walk to work. Might even have to be axle stands for a few days haha.
  3. Hi. I need to sit my car on some steels until my new wheels arrive (I’ve sold my current ones). What’s the smallest I can go? Will 14’s fit? Just worried about the size of the brakes. The car is a VRS estate. thanks for any help
  4. Ok no probs. I found a cheap stainless Mk4 backbox so I was hoping it would fit
  5. Am I correct in thinking mk4 Golf GTi turbo Back boxes fit the VRS?
  6. I’ve ordered the exhaust mounts for the Centre pipe. Looking at it I need to replace the Centre pipe section too. Has anybody ever fitted a straight pipe off the 1.9 diesel? It looks as if it is the same diameter. Just worried it might be too loud?
  7. Ok I’ve had a look and the SAI pump is still attached. The small green pipe coming off the top of the DV goes to the inlet plenum? It attaches to the right hand side of it
  8. Ok cool thanks. I’ll order the rubbers for the Centre pipe. Is it two that I need that are identical? i managed to find a used exhaust fairly cheap that will do for now. I will be buying a Jetex resonated full system when funds allow
  9. Hi all, my exhaust snapped today just where where the pipe enters the back box so I’m going to fit a new one from the car back. I have already ordered the new exhaust hanger rubbers for the Back box, is there any more anywhere and is there anything else you think I might need when fitting it. I’ve never fitted a new exhaust before so any help is welcome. cheers
  10. Does anybody know the offset of these 16” wheels? Thanks
  11. I’m not entirely sure where it goes. Is that the 3mm pipe coming off the top of the DV. Sorry, not used to these engines
  12. As far as I can see it still has the secondary compressor in place with the pipe work
  13. Hi, just giving the Octavia VRS a once over today and spotted two pipes that look as if they have been cut. They come from the bottom of the engine bay and are just to the left of the intake pipe just below the diverter valve. I have attached some pics. I just need to know if they are of any importance! Thanks.
  14. Thanks for your help on this guys. Great forum this is!
