  1. Although it is old thread, can you still post the pictures?
  2. Yep,i also heard about similar issues.Besides the compatibility issues, the devices often break or showing a lot of interfacace bugs + random reboots, etc. After all it is chinese stuff,so it is normal... (this is what i heard). I am starting considering a bluetooth receiver to conect it to the aux port and then pair my phone/tablet through which i will stream music, waze, etc (of course, with a decent phone holder). Question now arises, which bluetooth receiver is good enough to offer a similar experience as with a cable connectivity, which model has a decent DAC, etc
  3. no, i mean, if you stream a melody from your phone, connected through cable on aux-in, versus streaming a melody from your phone connected to bluetooth same melody, 2 types of connectivity between the phone and the head unit (one with cable, the other with bluetooth). I was reffering to the differences between these two.
  4. How is the audio quality for this; let's say if you compare your phone being connected to aux-in port with cable, with the same but via bluetooth and stream music. Is the sound quality similar, or is there a big difference? Can you notice the difference i mean?
  5. Hi Cristian, Any updates regarding the head unit? I am also interested in mounting an aftermarket HU on my Octavia 2 pre FL model, but as i understood, all the chinese ones don't offer all the functionalities (as the original stereo does), for the preFL model; rear sensors don't work for instance. Thanks
  6. Hi Inza, have you managed to find a solution? I have exactly the same setup as you do and also want to fit an aftermarket navigation. Main goals are to put Waze on it, listen to FLACs and most important, to integrate the rear sensor functionality as the original Stream MP3 head unit does. As far as i saw and found out, there are no navigations that can provide this functionality, for pre FL Octavia models (like you have). If you have any more details or new updates for this, please post them. Also, the aux-in bluetooth converter showed by labman , isn't a bad ideea, but i wonder how good is the audio quality on these? I once used such a device and it provided a terrible sound, very flat, without bass and trebble.
  7. Labman, i am also looking for the same thing. An android head unit with good sound that is able to integrate with the car's parking sensors. I have an Octavia 2008 preFL model with a Stream MP3 head unit. As far as i read and spoke with sellers, all the chinese aftermarket head units don't integrate with parking sensors for the preFL model. I am stuck at this point.
