  1. After 2 years and the problem still continues.... In addition to all before mentioned actions, i had replaced once more the in tank fuel pump with an original one and the error from that moment on dissapeard. However the performance issues unfortunately did not dissapear with the pump. I also replaced the MAP sensor without any results. I had my injectors serviced(i have reached 174.000 miles) and cleaned. After the cleaning the car appeared to work correct again but only for the next 2-3 weeks. The performance issues appeared again. I took the car to the guy that fixed the injectors and he said that the car is merely clogged and that i have to often run it to 4.000-5.500 rpm to keep it clean. I have tried that for almost a week and i don't think that is the problem. Last i have cleaned the engine with HHO and again once more the car worked fine for a couple of weeks and that's it. I strongly believe that some sensor is malfunctioning but for unknown reason isn't recorded as an error on the car's ecu. After my last ride yesterday for about 350 miles i noticed that the car can't run more than 100 kpm on a hill with fourth gear engaged, and as for fuel consumption it can't get any worse.... I am completely frustrated by the mechanics here because the have a nasty habbit of accusing the problem being a result of bad fuel when they can't find the solution to the problem, which in my case isn't true. Has anyone have an idea what to look for?
  2. If am not mistaking the specific engine doesn't have a MAF sensor but a MAP sensor. To be honest the idle is fine. Would the above error that vcds reports be related to a map sensor issue?
  3. Hello guys. If someone could help me with my problem i would much appreciate it. I own an octavia 5 1.6 FSI (BLF engine code). I have the last 2-3 years perfomance problem with my engine. The symptoms mainly consists of hesitation of the car to accelerate properly and i noticed a noticeable increase in fuel consumption. At this point i must add that despite the poor performance no MIL would come on the dashboard, hence making the solution for the problem to my mechanic more difficult. I have changed so far these last 2-3 years the high pressure fuel pump, g410 low pressure sensor, i even changed the timing chain and associate parts because according to my mechanic it was worn and was failing. Nonetheless the problem still persists. Thankfully the last 2-3 months an indication appeared(engine) on the dashboard and i was able to prove my saying to him. He determined after diagnosing with vcds that the low fuel pressure was too small. At some point under load would come down below 2bar. So he recommended replacing the in tank pump and control module. I tried replacing with an aftermarker pump but the problem still continues to exist. The vcds Log is as follows: Address 01: Engine Labels: 03C-906-056-BAG.lbl Control Module Part Number: 03C 906 056 BS HW: Hardware No Component and/or Version: MED9.5.10 00 8544 Software Coding: 0000071 Work Shop Code: WSC 73430 790 00000 VCID: 75E1075F1C34EDB6B75-8020 1 Fault Found: 18972 - Low Pressure Fuel Sensor (G410) P2540 - 008 - Implausible Signal - MIL ON Readiness: 0000 0000 If i erase the error, the indication won't come again instantly. It takes some time to reappear. From what i managed to find out is that when i adapt the fuel pump and adaptation states that is OK at some point the adaptation changes to error and the MIL indicator comes up on the dashboard. Hope i didn't tire you with my long post. P.S Greetings from Greece Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
