  1. Yep the Yeti will be a good choice, the DSG is a must, a really good to drive. We also have a lwb Pajero which are brilliant in the snow, etc., sadly we have to sell it for cost of living reasons. You won’t be disappointed with the Yeti, thuough we are having problems with ours at the moment.
  2. Hi I'm sorry but I meant toS aY 1,2 A/H
  3. Hi Had a flat battery recently, called the RAC who came and found that I had a parasitic battery drain. He opened and shut the boot lid a few times and it eventually stopped draining. The drain was about 1.2 mA/h and he said this was a probable microswitch fault in the boot. Is this drain of 1.2 mA/h right for a microswitch fault? And should I be ''slamming'' the boot lid closed in future. And does this mean a completely new lock to fix the problem? Thanks for any replies in advnced. Darfash
  4. Hi We got £9,500 for a 2014 4x4 Outdoor manual with 38,000 miles on it,# just a few weeks ago.
  5. I am sure you can get a spare wheel for a 4x4 yeti, we had them in two of ours and I intend gettng one for thr current car.
  6. Get the yeti. We are now on our third one, first one (auto) written off by some idiot at a junction, second one (manual) just traded in for an automatic which my partner needs as she canoot drive manuals due to nearly having her left leg cut off. We are delighted with the new one so far but have to get the spare wheel for it. Honestly you wont be disappointed.
  7. Thanks for the quick replies, info has been much appreciated and has helped a lot, local indy Skoda dealer has electronic service schedule uptill 2019, so I should be able to work out everything that it needs out. Thanks
  8. Hi all Does anyone know where I can download a complete service schedule for the above car which we have just taken delivey of. Owners manual is useless. Thanks in advance
  9. Unfortunately not got the readings for soot and ash levels, both garages said they were OK.
  10. Hi Haldex has not been cleaned out as you suggest, oil was changed as part of the process of elimination a few weeks ago, but that problem has now been solved. Thanks for the advice anyway, want to know about adding fuel additive to clean out dpf.
  11. Thanks Model is 2014 Outdoor SE TDI CR 4x4 on 37,000 miles 140, other problem was coupling at rear making noise, no ECU update as far as I know.
  12. Back in July we had a problem(s) with the Yeti after a 100 miles journey, the car started a regen which was ok, but the car also started having other problems which have now been fixed. However, since then the car has started doing frequent regens after only a 50-60 miles usage. I know this isn't normal since this our second Yeti, and the car sounds like it has a slight hole in exhaust system from near the front end, the system has been inspected by 2 garages and they can't find anything wrong, also had 2 passive regnes carred out. Should I buy some fuel additive to clean the dpf out before looking into replacing the dpf unit and does anyone have an idea how much it may cost to replace the dpf and any recommendaions for fuel additive. Thanks for any advice.
  13. Hi, thanks for the answers so far. All oil and fluid levels have been checked and are OK. I would have thought the 100 mile round trip would have cleared the dpf, but maybe not, as it ran after the next short trip it did. I can't check for error codes but have it booked in at local garage next Monday and will insist on error codes being read, and for them to do a passive regen as well and change the fuel filter just in case. Will see if they can add something like Diesel Power Blaster and then rebook for an oil change later. Sorry, but should have added that is was occasionally getting stuck when trying to chnage down to 2nd gear at crossroads etc.
  14. We did a 100 miles round trip recently, but on the return journey car started a regen, but then it started to act up, it would not drive properly in 5th and 6th gears, felt like it was in too high a gear and had to change down (this was at 60mph to 70mph) and was accompanied by what we can only describe as a grumbling/growling noise from what sounded like it came from engine bay (but could have been from gearbox front area) with an occasional knocking from the exhaust at the rear end. Got home and left for a day, then short trip to shop and regen carried on for 10 min after getting back. Later took it out and once car was warmed up the problem returned but this time 4th gear was also affected. Car is 2014 140 4x4 with 36,000 miles on clock. It has been running fine until this happened. Any suggestions to probable cause would be gratefully appreciated, I am not mechanically minded and disabled, so I can't get under the car to have a look. Thanks for any reples in advance.
