  1. If you after a quick and cheap alternative try Plastidip, it gives a matt finish and is so easy and completely reversible, as it just peels off. 2 cans (@ £10 each) will do 4 wheels) and comes in lots of colours. (Its not to everyones taste, but is a cheap way of giving your wheels "some" protection) If you after a refurbishment they ive used Pristine Alloy wheels in Milton Keynes in the past. Quite expensive but very good services and very professional. and i has 2 sets done by them. In fact im sending 2 wheels to them this week
  2. Its known problem on any diamond cut wheel. They look great when brand new but few salty road and bad weather will result in white worm. I had a set of 19" bmw M performance alloys that were brand new and replaced under warranty within 6 months, white worm had started the spread from centre caps outwards. Either used winter alloys as they are always non diamond turned and fully painted / powder coated
  3. VW loom for mk4 golf about £110 Part No 000 971 381 http://vwgolfr32.co.uk/Heated-Seats.pdf Ive just bought TT seats and passat loom switches to go into my T4 Transporter and will be using this loom again (3rd vehicle i've done this conversion on)
  4. Hi Skoda dealer in llandudno Junction, North Wales. I explain to him i had a TPS account but that was with TPS Blackburn. I asked for discount and he gave me 10% WARNING - Do not remove seat bolts with impact wrench do it manually with splined bit and 3/8 drive(Seat bases have captive nut which can spin if removed too fast)
  5. https://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/GuidedSalesChangeCar?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=10151&categoryId=165538 Put you reg in and navigate the drop down box to Daylight Running lights and you will have a list of lights that will suit. I think they are 382 bulbs https://www.halfords.com/motoring/bulbs-blades-batteries/car-bulbs/382-super-bright-led-car-bulb-halfords-advanced-twin-pack
  6. Daylight running lights. They may have been turned off! under steering wheel is fuse box (behind long plastic trim) pop this off and you will see your fuses. You should also see a switch. This is the daylight running lights(DRL) switch. Turn this on and with the ignition on and lights off they should be on.
  7. Before i order Forge intercooler can you confirm its compatible with my car 2012 Skoda Fabia 1.6tdi CAYC engine and what is the correct part number. There doesnt seem to be a drop down box for the 1.6tdi engine on the forge Website. Is there any other finish available ie black with black forge lettering?? Is there any discount available to forum users?
  8. Thanks for all you advice, That darkside one look very nice, but its still £280 inc P&P and VAT and i hear storys that they never line up or fit properly. Im not sure i want to start chopping behind the headlight to get the Yeti / S3 to fit, even though its got the biggest volume. Forge Intercooler looks a quality but of kit with cast end & mounting but its £540 in P&P + VAT Wagner is £565 Airtec need loads of "fettling" on my S3 to fit nicely and it didnt fit without rubbing on the hoses. Sold it at loss and bought Wagner. Fitment was better than OEM and that why i asked the question.
  9. Has anyone fitted wagner intercooler to there 1.4 VRS or 1.6 TDI. If so do you have any pictures. http://www.wagner-tuning.uk/200001037.html I have a Wagner Intercooler in my 8L S3 and its a lovely bit of kit. But would like to see some pictures or fitment advice on the 5J. Was thinking about fitting intercooler before getting it mapped.
  10. It could be that your push fit connectors may need a clear out or someone may have damaged them when servicing the car last. Im sure your local Skoda dealer could take a quick look for you with any charge. It looks like you need to pinch the connector to get it over the lip to be 100% secure
  11. Im sure it not common and looking at the youtube tutorial they look to be push fit items so within the skills of a novice. Maybe they need a little more force to be secure.
  12. Bought MK2 Golf GTD with Goodride tyres on 15 years ago, was very impressed by the dry grip and handling, but any damp conditions would result in 4 wheels drifts around roundabouts, living in Edinburgh at the time meant i had to had to change tyres.
  13. What are you after, straight swap or swap + cash I have a set of TT speedlines from my golf gt tdi with 205 55 16 Uniroyal rainsport 3, tyres are wrong size for your skoda but would be willing to work something out
  14. Quite like these, never seen them before on mk2........... But tyres are the wrong size for me (205 40 17) and only have trinity alloys as trade + set of TT speedlines
