  1. Cheers Chrispy, they look really good. Makes choosing a lot easier now
  2. Looking to buy a used Fabia vrs for SWMBO to go with my mk2 Octy vrs. Not too keen on the seats though, I must be spoiled with the interior on my octy! I was wondering if anyone knew how common the uptake might have been on the leather interior option in the fabia vrs. I have looked on the usual websites but have only found one which seems a bit pricey. I know the SE has it but I was keen on a black one. Cheers for any thoughts
  3. I applaud your bold statement! No danger of having an understated vRS there:)
  4. Mine is black and is terrible to keep clean but looking at it in the sunshine just now it looks brilliant. Fairly inconspicuous though, race blue vrs much more of a statement and does look good. Depends on how much you want others to notice I suppose.
  5. Hi Although I plumped for the octy vRS in the end, I took a diesel fabia vRS for a spin and couldn't stop grinning! Toys will amuse for a few weeks, the drive of the vRS will keep you entertained as long as you own it:)
  6. Hi, welcome to the forum
  7. Completely biased but for me black looks amazing, many envious looks at the lights!
  8. The car will look great in either black or race blue, I think you would regret not going for one of them every time you another octy with metallic paint. Jumbo box is nice but the paint will be more significant.
  9. You are absolutely right, top gear is almost unique in its less than stellar praise of the new vRS. I was much more guided by this year's and last year's Whatcar reviews/awards.
  10. Just bought this month's Top gear magazine, which has a hot hatch special. I was amazed to see that my lovely octy vRS only ranked 17th in terms of available hot hatches. Having test driven most of the top ten (and found them wanting on price, performance, style, refinement, all of the above) before going for the octy, I find this bizarre. Ironically, elsewhere in the issue they criticise others for badge snobbery after naming Skoda as the new top car maker. Practice what you preach please!
  11. Hi, and welcome to the forum. I went a bit nuts with the options on my octy vrs, got the 18" wheels, xenons, rear parking sensors and jumbo box. Could not do without them now! Another option i added on was cruise control to try and save my licence:thumbup:
  12. Just got my Octy vrs Mk II from here and generally alright. Tom and Ross, the two salesmen, were both great, very helpful. However, the manager was the opposite, the kind of idiot who thinks he's doing you a favour by letting you buy one of his cars. Certainly wouldn't buy a car from him. Trade in price was laughable, think this is part of their overall attittude. Not a great job done in preparing the car either but I couldn't be arsed arguing with them as I just wanted to get out in the car.
  13. Probably being really dense here, but my 06 plate octy vrs has the jumbo box option but doesnt seem to have the aux socket as the one in my local dealer's had. Is it hidden elsewhere in the car? Had a good look but no luck so far. If it is missing I will be annoyed as this is why I specified the jumbo box in the first place.
